Actually I am studying civil engineering at the INSA, before I came to France I was studying also four
years of civil engineering at the national university of Colombia. At the beginning when I chose my
profession I was really excited by the idea to be able to design and build different structures like bridges
and buildings but since I discovered the geotechnics I like it a lot because where I am from there are
many problems to be solved in that subject.
Then in Colombia I had the opportunity to work in the geotechnical laboratory of my university, in
which I carried out different laboratory test and designs of small geotechnical works like footings, deep
foundations, piles, caissons and earth stabilizes columns, I used to model these structures using
software like Plaxis, SAP 2000 and others.
For these raisons when I saw your job offer in your site I was immediately interesting in working on
the development of geotecnics in Philippines because like some cities in my country the philiphines
are part of the pacific ring of fire then several volcanos are active and the soils have several problems
of instability, I know for example that the engineers involved in the project of the subway in Manila,
they had many problems with the soils bearing capacity.
So I would integrate your company to deliver solutions for a more connected and sustainable world, I
think I could play a key role contributing to the growth and successful performance of the geotechnical
practice in Philippines.
I have known your company for several years as the leader in provide technical, professional and
construction solutions as well as scientific and specialty consulting and I share the values of safety,
integrity, inclusion and diversity that your company defends.
Finally, I have always enjoyed new experiences and challenges and i believe that this work is a
possibility to know another culture and improves the living conditions of this people. I think I could
donate all my experience in the treatment of difficult soils to the designs and constructions of works
in Philippine.
