In November, the number of property transfers registered is 125,217
properties, that is, 4.5% less than in the same month of the
previous year
The merchanting of registered dwellings increases by 14.0%, as
compared to November 2013
The number of property transfers recorded in the land registries (from public deeds
previously registered) was 125,217 in November, that is, 4.5% less than in the same month
of 2013.
Regarding the merchanting of registered properties, the number of transfers was 56,121,
5.5% more than in November 2013.

Merchanting recorded in the land registries
81.8% of the registered merchanting in November corresponded to urban properties and
18.2% to rustic properties. Among the urban properties, 54.9% were merchanting of
dwellings.
The number of merchanting of rustic properties increased by 7.9% in the annual rate in
November, and that of urban properties did so by 5.0%. Within the latter, merchanting of
dwellings recorded an annual variation of 14.0%.

Evolution of the monthly rate
In order to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of the data, the following chart shows
the variation in the number of merchanting of dwellings between the months of October and
November of the last five years. In 2014, the monthly rate was –4.8%, the lowest in the
period.

Registered merchanting on dwellings, by protection system and status
90.0% of transfers of dwellings by merchanting in November were free housing, and 10.0%
were protected housing.
In annual terms, the number of transfers of free dwellings by merchanting increased by
11.8%, and that of protected dwellings did so by 38.7%.
30.8% of the dwellings transferred by merchanting in November were new, and 69.2% were
used.
The number of transactions on new dwellings decreased by 20.6%, and the number of used
dwellings increased by 41.6%, as compared to November 2013.

Results by Autonomous Community
In November 2014, the total number of property transfers recorded in the land registries per
100,000 inhabitants2 reached its highest value in the Autonomous Communities of Castilla y
León (558) and Aragón (500).
The Autonomous Communities which registered the greatest annual variations were Región
de Murcia (12.8%) and Canarias (11.3%).
In turn, the Autonomous Communites that registered the lowest annual rates were
Cataluña (–12.4%) and Aragón (–10.8%).

Regarding the merchanting on registered dwellings, the Autonomous Communities with the
highest number of transfers per 100,000 inhabitants2 were Comunitat Valenciana (91) and
Andalucía and Comunidad Foral de Navarra (both at 81).

The Autonomous Communities showing the greatest annual variation rates in the
merchanting of dwellings in November were Comunidad Foral de Navarra (48.2%), La Rioja
(33.3%) and Principado de Asturias (30.0%).
In turn, the only Autonomous Communities recording negative rates were Cantabria (–
12.3%) and Comunitat Valenciana (–3.3%).
