In July, the number of property transfers registered is 144,752
properties, that is, 4.6% more than in the same month of the
previous year
The merchanting of registered dwellings increases by 13.9%, as
compared with July of 2014
The number of property transfers recorded in the land registries (from public deeds
previously registered) was 144,752 in July, that is, 4.6% more than in the same month of
2014.
Regarding the merchanting of registered properties, the number of transfers was 67,041,
with a 10.2% annual increase.

Merchanting recorded in the land registries
85.7% of the registered merchanting in July corresponded to urban properties and 14.3% to
rustic properties. Among the urban properties, 57.0% were merchanting of dwellings.
In Juluy, the number of merchanting of rustic properties increased by 4.0% in the annual
rate, and that of urban properties increased by 11.4%. Within the latter, merchanting of
dwellings recorded an annual increase of 13.9%.

Evolution of the monthly rate
In order to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of the data, the following chart shows
the variation in the number of merchanting of dwellings between the months of June and July
of the last five years. In 2015, the monthly rate was 7.0%, that is, 2.9 points less than that of
the previous year.

Registered merchanting on dwellings, by protection system and status
90.3% of transfers of dwellings by merchanting in July were free housing, and 9.7% were
protected housing.
In annual terms, the number of transfers of free dwellings by merchanting increased by
14.0%, and that of protected dwellings did so by 12.2%.
19.5% of the dwellings transferred by merchanting in July were new, and 80.5% were used.
The number of transactions on new dwellings decreased by 38.1% as compared to July
2014. In turn, the number of used dwellings increased by 43.1%.

Results by Autonomous Community
In July 2015, the total number of property transfers recorded in the land registries per
100,000 inhabitants2 reached its highest value in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y
León (724), Aragón (626) and La Rioja (623).
Illes Balears (22.9%) and País Vasco (12.8%) registered the greatest annual variations.
In turn, the Autonomous Communities that registered the lowest annual rates were La Rioja
(─7.9%), Principado de Asturias (─7.3%) and Castilla‒La Mancha (−6.2%).

highest number of transfers per 100,000 inhabitants2 was Comunitat Valenciana (125).

The Autonomous Communities showing the greatest annual variation rates in the
merchanting of dwellings in July were Illes Balears (37.4%) and País Vasco (25.3%).
In turn, Extremadura (–9.8%), Principado de Asturias (‒7.9%) and Región de Murcia
(−7.5%) registered negative annual rates.
