Respeto Charles Orgbon III Though only in his teens, Charles Orgbon III is already an active environmentalist, working with his own nonprofit Greening Forward. Orgbon’s efforts to save the planet began when he was 12 and noticed the litter piling up around his school. He created his own Web site, Recycling Education, along with an Earth Savers Club at his school, to focus on environmental issues. Charles and his fellow students have worked together through the Earth Savers Club to recycle an impressive 6,500 pounds of garbage! Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning in 1919, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars.
