On this Fourth Sunday of Lent, sometimes called Laetareor
“Rejoice” Sunday, we have passed the halfway point of
Lent, and we rejoice and give thanks to God for having
helped us to come this far on our Lenten journey. This is a
good Sunday to take stock of how our Lenten practices are
going, and to get started if we have been delayed. How are
we doing at changing our hearts this Lenten season? Let us
pray today for God’s help and guidance along the way.
There will be an additional individual confession time on
Friday, April 4 and Friday, April 11 at 6:00 p.m.
Faith Formation registrations for the 2014-2015 year will
begin mid-April for continuing students and June for new
students. It will continue through September. All sacrament
classes are two years with First Communion starting at 1st
or 2nd grade and Confirmation starting at 7th grade. Any
questions regarding which class your child should be in,
please call the office and schedule an appointment.

Cuaresma, y nos alegramos y damos gracias a Dios por
habernos ayudado a llegar a este momento de nuestro camino cuaresmal. Éste es un buen domingo para estudiar nuestra situación y ver cómo van nuestras prácticas cuaresmales
o empezarlas si es que se nos ha hecho tarde. ¿Cómo cambiará nuestro corazón en este tiempo de Cuaresma? Oremos
hoy para que Dios nos ayude y nos guíe en nuestro caminar.

PREPARING PALMS
Join your parish community on Saturday, April 12 at 9:00
a.m. (following the 8:15 Mass) in Parish Center Meeting
Room #1 (PCMR1) to prepare palms for the Palm Sunday
services, both for decoration and distribution. Many hands
do make light work. Even if you can only give 30 minutes it
will make a difference. We plan to be done by noon. Refreshments will be provided. Any questions—call the office
at 447-2354.
SPRING TEA
LET’S CELEBRATE SPRING! Mark your calendar for May 10,
for our Fourth Annual Spring Team and Fashion Show to
be held in the Parish Center from 1-4 p.m. TREAT YOUR
LOVED ONES TO A GATHERING THEY WILL NOT FORGET.
Tickets are on sale after all the Masses. Price is $25 per
ticket or a table of six for $125. You can also purchase tickets in the office. Don’t wait until the last minute; PURCHASE NOW. We have so many beautiful things planned
for this event.! Volunteers are also needed to help on the
various committees. Please stop at our table in the Narthex to find out more.
Next weekend after each Mass Notre Dame students will
be selling coupon books to help support the school. The
books cost $20 and have coupons from over 90 merchants in Solano county. They pay for themselves many
times over! Please consider purchasing one of these valuable books to benefit the Notre Dame Community.
KITCHEN CLEANING - THANK YOU!
Many thanks to the members of our parish and to the
Knights of Columbus who recently did a spring cleaning
of our parish center kitchen. We appreciate your hard
work getting the kitchen sparkling clean!
HEALING TOWARD FORGIVENESS
Dolly Braida will be here to speak on Thursday, April 10
at 7 p.m. in PCMR1. Dolly helps people heal from abuse
and other kinds of pain that may have affected their lives
in some way, by letting go of their anger, so that they will
one day be able to forgive those who have hurt them.
Dolly shares thoughts and feelings that come from her
own experience of abuse and the steps she took to heal
her pain and let go of her anger. Hope to see you there!
FIRST COMMUNION
First Communion will be held on April 12 and May 3 at 11
a.m. in English and on April 13 at 5:00 p.m. in Spanish. Any

LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS
Lenten soup suppers and Stations of the
Cross continue this Friday, April 4. The soup
supper will be at 5:30 in PCMR1 (next to the
gym) followed by Stations at 7:00.
