William Hubbard OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARTICIPATION IN THE FOR CHRIST FOREVER CAMPAIGN: Campaign Goal $1,077,050 2014 PSA Goal $101,000 Total Goal $1,178,050 Dear Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of Fatima,/Queridos parroquianos y amigos de Nuestra Señora de Fátima, One of the major case elements of our For Christ Forever campaign is the support of local parish projects. After we meet our PSA goal, Our Lady of Fatima will receive 25% of the funds raised toward our campaign goal. In addition, we will receive 50% of any funds raised above our campaign goal for our own parish needs. That means we have the potential to receive $269,263 when we hit our goal and even more if we surpass it! After consultation with our staff, Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council, I have decided that the money we will receive will be best used in a variety of areas. I will designate 50% toward our outstanding liabilities, 25% toward capital improvements in our church building, 20% toward faith formation and evangelization, and 5% to bolster our parish reserves. It is exciting to think how these funds will help us grow and bring others to Christ. As more information comes in the following weeks, please start praying about your participation in our diocesan wide For Christ Forever campaign. Por favor, empiecen a orar sobre su participación en nuestra campaña diocesana Cristo Para Siempre. sixth sunday of ordinary time / 6° Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario 3 parish news, events, and opportunities Collection for the Church in Latin America/Eastern Europe Share your Faith Next week, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. Catholics in Latin America and the Caribbean face many challenges, including violence and a lack of both clergy and lay leadership to witness to the gospel message. Your support shares the faith with those in need, including the youth of Holy Family Parish in San Miguel, El Salvador. These young people, at high risk for violence, often lack an education in values and critical-thinking skills. To address this need, the parish designed a youth enrichment program. Funded by the Collection, this program gives the youth an opportunity to share their faith and break the cycle of violence in their neighborhoods. Please give generously to next week’s Collection. Lenten Fish Dinner Volunteers Needed.
