Parish News and Activities A little history of SVDP. Saint Vincent de Paul was the founder of many organizations to help the poor in France. Blessed Fredric Ozanam established the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in 1833 in Paris as a charity to help feed and care for the needy. In 1845, SVDP was established in St Louis, MO and is the national headquarters in the U.S. SVDP now has over 800,000 members is 140 different countries. We will be registering children for the upcoming 20162017 school year every Saturday and Sunday after all masses during the month of April in the Religious Education Building. A $35 tuition fee per family is required at the time of registration. Mark your calendar for a day of great fun with your family! On April 24th, St. Matthew will have a kermes (festival). Queremos dar los agradecimientos al Coro Hispano de San Mateo que con su decicación y esfuerzo logró recaudar la suma de $1,220.00 ofreciendo algunas presentaciones durante el año 2015. Una de ellas fué ofrecida a la empresa de tortillas “Mission Food”, la cual donó $1000.00 y la otra presentación fue para la señora Gloria Garzóon durante la celebración de la Navidad. Ella donó el valor de $220.00. También agradecemos a la señora Ismelda Santos y el señor Saul Avilez por la donación de algunos micrófonos. Dichas donaciones fueron usadas para adquirir el equipo de sonido para la iglesia. NECESITAMOS VOLUNTARIOS Cada lunes por la mañana un grupo de voluntarios, miembros de la parroquia limpian la iglesia.
