Estimados padres de familia de 7º grado,
El viernes 17 de junio, inmediatamente después de las Conferencias de los Portafolios,
los alumnos de 7º grado regresarán a la escuela sus computadoras MacBook, los
cargadores y la caja original al departamento de tecnología, por el verano. El personal
del departamento de tecnología se asegurará de que las computadoras y los cargadores
regresados por los alumnos correspondan con los números de serie que tenemos en los
expedientes. El proceso de regresar las computadoras deberá tomar sólo unos minutos.
Durante el verano, por favor continúe monitoreando el uso que le da su hijo/a la
computadora y establezca límites apropiados. Si usted no ha podido vigilar tanto como
debería, el verano es muy buen tiempo para comenzar a hacerlo. Los alumnos tienen
mucho más tiempo libre durante el verano y todos esperamos que lo utilicen de una
manera productiva y segura. Recuerden, que como padres, ustedes son responsables de
establecer las políticas del uso de la computadora en casa, no importando quién es el
dueño de la computadora que sus hijos están usando. Sugerimos firmemente que durante
el verano, las políticas del uso del internet sean revisadas, restablecidas y reforzadas.
Esperamos que nuestros alumnos estén participando en actividades que los mantengan
física y mentalmente ocupados y que utilicen el internet de una manera responsable.
En Agosto tendremos otra junta con con papás y alumnos donde redistribuiremos las
MacBooks de la escuela. Esperamos verlos el día 17 de Junio en nuestras Conferencias
de Portafolio dirigidas por alumnos.

Dear 7th Grade Parents,
On Friday, June 17, immediately after their portfolio conferences, seventh grade students
will be returning their school issued MacBook computers, chargers, and the original
boxes to the technology department for the summer. The technology department staff
will check to make sure that the computers and chargers turned in by the students match
the serial numbers that we have on file. The process of turning in the computers should
only take a few minutes.

Over the summer, please continue to monitor your child’s computer use and set
appropriate limits. If you haven’t been as vigilant as you should have, the summer time
is a good time to begin. Students have a great deal more free time during the summer and
we all hope that they use this time productively and safely. Remember, as a parent, you
are responsible for establishing computer usage policies in your house no matter whose
computers your children are using. We strongly suggest during the summer that internet
home usage policies are revisited, reestablished, and enforced. We hope that our students
are participating in activities that keep them physically and mentally engaged and that
they responsibly use the internet during the summer.
In August we will have another parent / student meeting where we re-distribute the
school’s MacBooks. We look forward to seeing you on June 17th at our Student-Led
Portfolio Conferences.
