Awards Day
I only received a few responses regarding
awards day attendance so I am not sure
what to expect. We will have a few extra
seats available, but please note that it may
be standing room only. We look forward to
seeing you here and sharing all of our great
accomplishments this year!
*If you are interested in your child attending the
Summer Enrichment Camp please return the completed
form and fee as soon as possible. If you need another
form, please let me know.
* Students will still need to bring a book from home to
read in the morning next week.
*Students will still need to bring backpacks to school
next week.
*Student workbooks will be sent home. Please feel
free to use these resources with your child over the
summer to avoid the summer slide. Although all the
pages were not completed, we still were very busy this
year. In addition to workbooks, other resources were
used to differentiate instruction and to teach our
rigorous curriculum. They did a great job this year and
I couldn’t be prouder of all my kinder students.
*If possible, please have your child wear our class
shirt to school on Thursday, June 2nd.
*A huge thanks to all the parents who helped with
Field Day! I really couldn’t have done it without you!
Avoid the Summer Slide
Summer is almost here! Our kiddos worked hard all year and have definitely earned a break. Although we all need down time,
students can loose a great deal of knowledge over the summer. Please don’t let this happen to your child. Things will be easier
in the fall if you can continue to work on skills at least a few times a week over the summer.
*continue using ReadingEggs.com, ABCMouse.com or firstbook.com at home
*Use Ready Rosie – They have easy and fast activities that you can do with your child (check out the LDE library page if you
need to sign up: www.readyrosie.com/lakedallas)
*Read for at least 20 minutes a day
*Check Pinterest.com for ideas on learning activities (reading/literacy, writing, science experiments, math games)
*Do any of the activities from past newsletters
*Check out Teacherspayteachers.com for free resources in all subject areas
*Visit the public library (they have great summer programs), take nature walks, read signs while driving, sort items at
home, point out shapes in buildings, practice addition and subtraction problems, count money, write letters, keep a
journal of summer activities…but most of all keep learning!

Sólo he recibido algunas respuestas sobre el
otorgamiento de asistencia de día así que no
estoy seguro de qué esperar. Tendremos
unos asientos adicionales disponibles, pero
tenga en cuenta que puede estar de pie sólo
la habitación. Esperamos contar con

Información Importante
* Si usted está interesado en que su hijo asistir al
campamento de verano de enriquecimiento por favor
devuelva el formulario completado y el pago tan pronto como
sea posible. Si necesita otra forma, por favor hágamelo
saber.
* Los estudiantes todavía tendrán que llevar un libro de casa
para leer en la mañana siguiente semana.
* Los estudiantes que todavía deben ajustar las mochilas a la
escuela la próxima semana.
* Libros de trabajo de los estudiantes serán enviados a casa.
Por favor, siéntase libre de utilizar estos recursos con su
hijo durante el verano para evitar el tobogán de verano. A
pesar de todas las páginas no se completaron, todavía
estábamos muy ocupados este año . Además de los libros de
trabajo , se utilizaron otros recursos para diferenciar la
instrucción y enseñar a nuestro plan de estudios riguroso.
Hicieron un gran trabajo este año y yo no podría estar más
orgulloso de todos mis estudiantes de kinder.
* Si es posible, por favor, que su hijo lleve nuestra
camisa de la clase a la escuela el jueves 2 de junio.

Evitar El Tobogán De Verano
El verano está casi aquí! Nuestros niños trabajaron duro durante todo el año y sin duda se han ganado un descanso. Aunque todos tenemos el tiempo
de inactividad, los estudiantes pueden perder una gran cantidad de conocimientos durante el verano. Por favor, no deje que esto ocurra a su hijo. Las
cosas van a ser más fácil
en el otoño si se puede seguir trabajando en las habilidades de al menos un par de veces a la semana durante el verano.

* Uso Listo Rosie - Tienen actividades fáciles y rápidas que usted puede hacer con su hijo (echa un vistazo a la página de la biblioteca LDE si es
