Connecting little ones to the farms
that grow the food they eat!
Things to do together:
✿ Harvest apples from the tree and fill a
✿
bushel basket.
✿ Look at your reflection while you fish
in the pond.
✿ Stack the "hay bales"as high as a child.
Questions to ask:
✿ “What can you use to carry three apples?”
✿ “How many eggs are in your basket?”
✿
✿ “Why does a chicken sit on eggs?”
✿ “Where do to the vegetables go after they leave
the farm? (Habitot's grocery store, of course!)
Show your child:
✿ How to make a puppet show from the barn window.
✿ Where the dragonflies and butterflies hide in
the reeds
✿ How to get on and off a horse safely.
Things you can say:
✿ Good fishermen practice 'catch and release.'
Thank you for putting the fish back in the pond!
✿ (when dressing up) You make a very good pig
(cow, sheep)! What sounds do you make?

Aprendiendo Juntos
De regreso al granero
¡Conectando a los pequeños a las granjas
que crecen el elimento que ellos comen!
Cosas para hacer juntos:
✿ Cosecha manzanas del árbol y llena una canasta.
✿ Busca tu reflexión mientras pescas en la laguna.
✿ Amontona las balas de paja del tamaño de un niño.
Preguntas que puede hacer:
✿ “¿Que puedes usar para cargar tres manzanas?”
✿ “¿Cuantos huevos hay en tu canasta?”
✿ “¿Por que la ganilla se sienta en los huevos?”
✿ “¿Para donde se van los vegetales despues que
se van de la granja?
(A la tienda de Habitot, por supuesto!)
Muéstrele a su niño/a :
✿ Cómo hacer un teatro de títeres desde la
ventana del granero.
✿ En donde se esconden las libélulas y las mariposas
en los cañaverales.
✿ Como subir y bajar del caballo con cuidado.
Cosas que puede decir:
✿ Practíca buena etica de pescador “pesca y suelta”.
Gracias por devolver los pescados a la laguna.
✿ (Cuando se disfrazan) Haces un puerquito muy bueno.
(vaquita, ovejita)! ¿que sonidos puedes hacer?
