Hoy, te pedimos, Señor, lo más precioso:
que nos veamos en nuestras verdaderas caras,
para que no nos creamos importantes,
y hagamos sitio en nuestro corazón
para nuestros hermanos y para Ti.
Te pedimos, Señor, lo más decisivo:
que no nos pongamos a nosotros mismos
en el centro de nuestro corazón;
que sintamos deseos de los demás
y que sintamos deseos de Ti.
Te pedimos que no andemos llenos
de nosotros mismos ni de nuestros sueños;
te pedimos que tampoco nuestros ideales y proyectos,
se conviertan para nosotros en lo absoluto y máximo
que nos impida reconocer los rostros ajenos
y escuchar sus llamadas.
Dios y Padre nuestro, te alabamos con tu Hijo Jesús,
sencillo y de corazón humilde,
porque escondiste su salvación a los sabios y entendidos
y la revelaste a la gente sencilla;
Sí, Padre, bendito seas por haberte parecido bien así.
