Call your Federal Legislator
and tell him/her to STOP the terrible ICE workplace
and community raids until a new, fair,
and humane immigration policy is passed!
Call your Federal Legislator and say:
“Hi, my name is ____ and I’m calling from the city of _________.
I’m calling to urge you to PUT AN END to the terrible ICE
workplace and community raids until the Democratic Congress pass
a new, fair, and just immigration law.
I am in strong opposition to raids because they tear families apart,
leave children orphaned, and terrorize the community.
These raids are resulting in distrust between the community
and local authorities, trauma among the community – especially children,
and they are undermining Congressional efforts to pass a new law
that will ensure family unity.
I believe all undocumented immigrants should be given
legal permanent status so they can remain with their families.”

Raids – What You Need to Know
If you are at home, ask to see a
warrant before opening the door.
If the authorities don’t have a warrant,
don’t open the door. The warrant
should have your exact address, the
signature of a judge, and the name
of a person who currently lives at
that address.
If they have a warrant for someone
in the house and with a signature,
tell the authorities that you will go
get that person. Close the door and
have the individual walk outside
to talk to the authorities. Do not let
the authorities inside your home.
Remain silent.
If you are on the street, remain calm
and do not attempt to run away.
Only give your name to the officer
asking you questions. Remain silent.
Ask if you are under arrest, and if you
are not, ask to be allowed to leave.
You have the right to ask for a lawyer.
Do not show any immigration papers
or other identification, do not say where
you were born, and do not tell the
authorities your immigration status.
If detained do not sign anything.
Consult with a lawyer before signing
any documents.
If detained, find out your “A-number.”
If you or someone you know is detained
by ICE, find out the “A” number,
and give this information to a family
member, a neighbor, and/or the lawyer
who will be in charge of the detainee’s
case. This number will be used to identify
and track the person detained.

Conozca Sus Derechos
localizarlo.
Pregunta si tiene permiso de irse.
