General
descriptions
The aim of this course is to study the main economic characteristics of the European Union. The recent history of the EU −deeply affected by the
enlargement to 27 members, and the changes that the new Treaties are imposing on the role of the European institutions− will be approached.
Afterwards students will get familiar with the search and analysis of the main economic indicators at European level, with special reference to the
macroeconomic and general indicators. Finally, the course will focus on the characterization of the main economic activities and policies followed by
European Union institutions.
