On Wednesday evenings, guests are treated to the music of Trio Romance at the Shiloh location, providing romantic music with a Caribbean touch. Martinez noted that Mariscos El Pescador is a wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary or other social event. “You can bring your wife for great seafood and great entertainment,” Martinez said. Romance is also in the air at the San Dario location on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. each night with De Leon’s show, which includes his classic renditions of hits by such starts as Marco Antonio Soliz and Juan Gabriel, among others. Diners in the know often start arriving at 7 p.m. to secure a good seat for his performance. Martinez noted that there is no charge for the fun at either location. “There’s no cover at the door, no charge for this entertainment,” he said. “It’s all part of the great experience at Mariscos El Pescador.” Of course, the luscious food is the main reason people go to the restaurants in the first place. The specials are super. Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., diners can chose from one of five entrees — chicken tenders, fried fish, shrimp, trout or oysters — for 5310 San Dario SWEETS & TREATS Famous Corn Dog Mall Del Norte Hot Dog Express 500 Flores Kaliedoscoops 4802 San Bernardo La Paletera 315 Calle del Norte,Suite 1-A Mr. Corn 4800 McPherson Mugs Coffee, Bakery & More 107 Calle Del Norte River City Donuts 2220 Guadalupe 4819 San Bernardo TCBY 1408 E.
