UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA DE ÁVILA 1st International Erasmus Week Castile – Land of Castles and Wine TIME ROUTE 15.45 Depart from Ávila 16.45 Arrive at Medina del Campo and visit Castillo de la Mota 19.00 Depart from Medina del Campo 19.30 Arrive at Rueda and visit to Yllera Wine Cellars and typical Castilian dinner 23.00 Depart from Rueda 24.00 Arrive at Ávila UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA DE ÁVILA 1st International Erasmus Week YLLERA WINE CELLARS The second part of the visit will be at the Yllera Wine Cellar, located in Rueda, Valladolid. The tour is called El Hilo de Ariadna (Ariadne’s thread) and it recalls the Greek myth of The Labyrinth of the Minotaur. This tour includes a visit of the cellar with a wine tasting and a typical Castilian dinner in their Mudejar caves. UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA DE ÁVILA 1st International Erasmus Week CASTILLO DE LA MOTA Our finally stop is the Castillo de la Mota, in Medina del Campo, Valladolid, a place full of history and legends thanks to the King John II of Castile, his son Henry IV and the Catholic Monarchs, Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon.
