In this presentation, we try to explain Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD) focusing on the need, possibility and importance of its early detection by
teachers in the third year of the second cycle of Preschool Education.
With this in mind, we have designed a questionnaire based on the perceptions and
experiences with ADHD from teachers in Navarre.

The analysis has revealed that the teachers posses insufficient knowledge of the
disorder, but at the same time, reflects a desire and need to intervene through
early detection. This intervention would allow the students to benefit from all
dimensions in the teaching-learning process (affective, cognitive, social and
emotional), that best suits their needs and therefore be more effective and positive
valuing all potentialities. To achieve this, it is required that teachers receive specific
training and education to ensure that they are competent.

En el presente trabajo se pretende exponer el Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e
Hiperactividad (TDAH) focalizando en la necesidad, posibilidad e importancia de la
detección temprana de dicho trastorno, por parte del profesorado en el tercer curso
del segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil. Razón por la cual, se ha diseñado un
cuestionario sobre las percepciones y experiencias con el TDAH del profesorado

en la Comunidad Foral de Navarra. El análisis ha permitido conocer el insuficiente
conocimiento que poseen, pero la necesidad y deseo de intervenir gracias a una
detección temprana. Esto permite que el alumnado se pueda beneficiar en todas
las dimensiones (afectiva, cognitiva, social y emocional) en el proceso de
enseñanza-aprendizaje, más adaptado a sus necesidades y por tanto, más eficaz
y positivo valorando todas las potencialidades. Para ello, se requiere de una
formación de calidad, de modo que el profesorado sea competente.
