Decreto Nro. 2.212, mediante el cual se
establece una alícuota del cero por
ciento (0%) para el pago del Impuesto a
las Grandes Transacciones Financieras
cuando involucren cuentas en moneda
extranjera en el Sistema Financiero

En la Gaceta Oficial N° 40.839 Extraordinario
de fecha 29 de enero de 2016, fue publicado
el Decreto N° 2.212, emitido por la
Presidencia de la República, mediante el cual
se establece una alícuota del cero por ciento
(0%) para el pago del Impuesto a las Grandes
Transacciones
Financieras,
a
los
contribuyentes y responsables sujetos a la
aplicación de la ley que crea el tributo,
cuando realicen operaciones que involucren
cuentas en moneda extranjera en el Sistema
Financiero Nacional, incluidas las cuentas
mantenidas en el Banco Central de
Venezuela, de conformidad con lo previsto en
la normativa cambiaria dictada por el Banco
Central de Venezuela y el Ejecutivo Nacional
a tal efecto.
Decree No.2,212, issued by the President of
the Republic, was published in Special
Official Gazette No.40,839 of January 29,
2016. It provides for a zero percent (0%)
rate for payment of the Tax on Large
Financial Transactions on taxpayers and
individuals subject to this tax, on conducting
foreign-currency
transactions
in
the
National Financial System. This includes
accounts kept with the Central Bank of
Venezuela, in accordance with the exchange
regulations issued by the Central Bank of
Venezuela and the National Executive.
El Ministro del Poder Popular con
competencia en materia de Banca y Finanzas
y el Ministro de Estado para la Economía
Productiva, quedan encargados de la
ejecución de este Decreto.
El Decreto entró en vigencia a partir del
primero de febrero de 2016.
The People’s Minister for Banking and
Finance, and the State Minister for
Productive Economy are liable for enforcing
this Decree.
The Decree became effective as of February
1st, 2016.
