TEACHER TO TEACHERS PROGRAM BOLIVIA 2021 - TTT.BO PROGRAM CALL FOR APPLICATIONS WHAT IS TTT.BO PROGRAM? The objective of the program is to develop the skills of Bolivian English teachers so that they can respond to the current learning needs of students in the new context of virtual teaching. The program is sponsored by the United States Department of State and Partners of the Americas. The trainers are from the North Carolina Chapter of Partners of the Americas. The Cochabamba Chapter of Partners of the Americas is assisting in the implementation of the program. HOW WILL IT BE CARRIED OUT? TTT.BO will use the Zoom platform for the live workshop presentations. Each of the six workshops will be one week long and will include activities and projects that the participants will develop for their own classes. The workshops will be focused on strengthening English language teaching skills. Reference and resource materials for the workshops will be available on the Moodle platform. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Bolivian English teachers between 22 and 45 years of age who meet the necessary requirements may participate. Thirty applicants will be selected to participate in the program. Basic experience using Moodle platform. HOW LONG IS THE TTT PROGRAM? This program lasts 3 months. The workshops begin on September 7 and end on October 30. Each module will be taught for one week. All final projects must be completed and turned in by November 12 in order to receive certification. Exploring strategies for increasing student speaking in secondary or adult ELT lessons through structured speaking-practice sequences and free speaking tasks that build fluency while considering the important roles that active engagement and speaking play in language learning.
