En los últimos años hemos visto que la participación en las elecciones presidenciales de Chile ha ido en decadencia, por factores muy distintos como por ejemplo hay presidentes que no cumplen con lo que plantean y lo que les aseguran a la gente, por eso es que hay menos probabilidad de que puedan participar en futuras elecciones. También cómo ha ido cambiando la mentalidad de las personas con todo lo sucedido con esto del estallido social, además las votaciones hoy en día son voluntarias y eso hace que las personas que no les importa o porque no quieren hacerlo influya en un después. En el sitio web www.ciperchile.cl se habla que en el 2009 el Congreso modificó el voto obligatorio por uno voluntario y en diez años después las participaciones de la gente disminuyo un 50% por los cual si un presidente obtiene un 50% de votaciones en realidad tiene un 30% menos de votos de la gente. En relación con el estallido social la participación ciudadana fue de otra manera, con lo que dice la página www.ciperchile.cl de las cenizas de la democracia de los acuerdos, surgían nuevas formas de participación. Los pingüinos que saltaban los torniquetes del Metro, las tías Pikachu, las estilizadas fotos en Instagram de jóvenes con escudos, el vecino que va a un cabildo en su plaza, las barras bravas que boicotean el reinicio del campeonato de futbol nacional. Todas estas son nuevas formas de hacer ciudadanía, de intervenir en materias de interés común. La participación ciudadana también se ve entre juntas de vecinos, clubs deportivos, iglesias, etc, lo cual tienen maneras de organización por ejemplo en la junta de vecinos tienen que participar todos para que algo pueda surgir como arreglar su pueblo o sus plazas o mejorar la convivencia en las personas de un pueblo al igual que un club deportivo puede arreglar una chancha y hacer actividades deportivas para que la gente participe y esto hace que la gente sea más participativa en estas ocasiones. Desde mi perspectiva ser partícipe de en los aspectos que he nombrado está bien ya que así tienen una mayor organización para generar propuestas o situaciones para un punto positivo en las personas que desean, como por ejemplo en votaciones para algo mejor en el país y que después no hayan altercados o desacuerdos con lo que elijan, por ejemplo con todo esto que pasa con el apruebo y rechazo es donde ahí la gente tiene que tener conciencia y ser participe por algo que quieran que sea mejor, ya sea por los dos bandos, desde mi parte yo votaría apruebo ya que va por la parte de poder ayudar a el país y tener más igualdad, inclusivos y solidaridad con la gente y de esta forma, se puede construir una constitución que defina a Chile como un estado social de derechos, que no tan solo garantice, sino que asegure salud, educación pública para todos y otros factores que apoyen al país. También la participación como anteriormente he planteado sobre las juntas de vecinos o iglesias o club deportivos tienen que participar para que todo pueda salir bien y como por ejemplo tener todo su pueblo en buen estado y que todos sean felices.
