Ice-World and its dealers are aware of their responsibility to burden the environment as little as possible. In this document, the measures taken and to be taken by Ice-World with regard to sustainable business are explained. 40% less energy consumption by using aluminium An Ice-World ice skating rink consumes up to 40% less energy than other traditional ice skating rinks. 100% CO2 compensation for energy consumption In order to compensate 100% of the CO2 emissions worldwide (production, transport and projects), around 5000 tons of CO2 per year is compensated, by planting mangroves in the Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park in cooperation with Myanmar Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry. CARBON CERTIFICATE 2018 awarded to Ice-World International A carbon certificate has been awarded to Ice-World International for offsetting a total· amount of 12,500 tons of C02 by planting mangroves in the Thor Heyderdahl Climate Park in Myanmar. The carbon mitigation covers 100% of the C02 emissions worldwide (production, transport and projects) for all Ice-World ice rinks which are set up in close collaboration with Ice-World International dealers and partners. Ice-World ice rink projects are executed worldwide, amongst others in the Singapore, Benelux, Australia, Bahrein, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America. These reforestation measurements are guaranteed by Worldview International Foundation. Signature Chairman s~f!}IJ Secretary General Ice-World's partnership with the Worldview Foundation goes beyond conventional carbon mitigation. It also offers solidarity to our neighbours in the global village for a better life to the children of the future. Worldview's research project in Myanmar is executed in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry, Pathein University and Myeik University. The project aims a national plan for restoration of mangrove forests in all coastal areas of the country. More information about carbon mitigation on www.wif.org.lk 100% CO2 compensation for energy consumption Ice-World compensates the energy consumption of all Dutch projects with wind energy certificates. The Ice-World office is self-sufficient in power needs 6000m2 of solar panels on the Ice-World head office, warehouse and production facility in the Netherlands. Recycling of production materials and alternative fuels Ice-World uses alternative fuels such as soy biodiesel whenever possible, and recycles all production materials. Ice-World uses environmentally friendly refrigerants Ice-World uses the more expensive but environmentally friendly polypropylene glycol to cool its ice floors. Nearly 100% of this refrigerant is reused. Any leaked refrigerant is entirely biodegradable. Ice-World is ISO 14001 environmentally certified The manufacture, rental, sale, assembly and disassembly of the mobile aluminium ice rinks are carried out in a sustainable manner.
