GUIA PARA HACER TU AUTOBIOGRAFIA - CARTA DE MOTIVACION
¿Porque una autobiografía/carta de motivación es tan
importante?
Porque es lo que te puede diferenciar de la multitud ¡!!
Porque es tu carta de presentación, donde tendrán que conocerte
Te has planteado cuantas cartas y curriculums reciben las
empresas?
En este caso no debe ser tan formal como estás acostumbrado,
puesto que también quieren conocer quién eres tú, que calidad
humana tienes, que te gusta y lo que no, y lo más importante
porque estas interesado en estas prácticas/programa y en este país.
¿Sobre qué tienes que escribir?
Sobre ti. Si te resulta difícil, la mejor forma de escribirla es hacerlo en
tres partes:
Parte 1:
Tienes que hacer una presentación de ti mismo, Habla de tu entorno
más familiar: Nombre. Edad. De donde eres. Donde naciste, donde
has vivido. Menciona si tienes hermanos o hermanas y cuál es tu
posición respecto a ellos. Comenta a que se dedican tus padres. Y
si te has mudado de ciudad o sigues viviendo en la de siempre.
Parte 2:
En esta parte habla sobre tu vida académica y tu formación en
general. Es la ocasión para mencionar los logros personales que no
están reflejados en tu CV. Comenta donde fuiste al colegio, tanto en
primaria como en secundaria. Si has viajado o estudiado al
extranjero. Habla sobre los deportes que realizabas y/o realizas.
Que hobbies y aficiones tenías cuando estabas en la
escuela. Que es lo que te motiva para trabajar en la
industria que solicitas.
Parte 3:
Habla sobre tus metas, sueños y aspiraciones. En que
estas interesado. Que quieres lograr y como estás
prácticas/programa pueden ayudarte en tu futuro
Why is a good Autobiography so important?
The autobiography is one of the most critical documents of the
application. It gives your prospective employer an insight into
the type of person you are your interests and background. Try
to think of it as a job interview in writing. Most of the
applicants to this program have very similar qualifications and
experience.
It is the autobiography that differentiates you from the
herd!. Never underestimate the value of the Autobiography!
Don't forget that you are competing against many people from
all over the world for a placement.
What shall I write about?
If you find it hard to write, write it in three parts. First,
talk about your home life.
Part 1
Who are you? Start introducing yourself (name, age, where
are you from)
Where were you born? Always lived there?
Do you have any brothers or sisters?
How old are they relative to you?
What do your parents do for a living?
Have you moved around or stayed in the same city/town?
Part 2
In the second part, talk about your school life and your
education generally.
Your CV will have all of your academic achievements, but you
may want to mention your non-academic achievements such as
school captain, team captain of a sports team etc.
Where did you go to school (primary, and secondary)?
Did you play any school sports?
Hobbies and interests that you had while you were at school.
What stimulated your interest in the industry you wish to work
in?
Part 3
In the third part, talk about your hopes and dreams for the
future. What are you interested in? What do you want to
achieve? What sort of timeframe are you aiming for?
¿Cuál debe ser la extensión?
How long should it be?
No se trata de escribir una novela, con dos páginas es
suficiente.
Please note that you do not need to write a novel. Two
typed pages are enough.
Menos de media página es insuficiente, y tres páginas
pueden no leerse con toda la atención. Una hoja, u hoja
y media, en tamaño normal y con espaciado normal es lo
ideal.
Less than half a page is not really long enough and three
pages will not be read thoroughly. About a page to a
page and a half of normal size and spaced type is perfect
