EVENTOS Y NOTICIAS DE LA SEMANA
Friday, November 8th
Assembly, 8:30 – 9:00. Based on discussions
with our teachers, the schedule for Assembly is
changing so that at least one class from each
grade will be at Assembly each week. Each
class will go to Assembly once every two
weeks. This week, Assembly is for the classes
of Mtro. Pastrana, Ms. Marx, Ms. Goodie, Ms.
Tapia, Ms. Ana, Ms. Parchia, Ms. Cato,
Ms. Bien, and Mr. Zucker.
Viernes 8 de noviembre
Asamblea, 8:30 – 9:00. Por una sugerencia
de los maestros, el horario de la asamblea se
cambia para que un salón de cada grado
pueda participar cada semana. Cada salón
participará en la asamblea una vez cada
quince días. La asamblea de esta semana es
para los salones de Mtro. Pastrana, Ms. Marx,
Ms. Goodie, Ms. Tapia, Ms. Ana, Ms. Parchia,
Ms. Cato, Ms. Bien, y Mr. Zucker.

Coffee with the Principal, 8:30 – 9:30, in the
Nurse’s Office.

Afterschool program closed for teacher
trainings. All students must be picked up at
2:45 on this day.

THANKSGIVING BREAK – NO SCHOOL
Safety Patrol
Fourth grade room leaders have been very
active recruiting 4th and 5th grade students for
the Traffic Safety Patrol. The Patrol has just
been trained by the Alameda County Health
Department, and they will start a Drop-Off
Zone on 25th Avenue every morning beginning

Patrulla de Seguridad
Los padres líderes de cuarto grado están muy
activos reclutando a los alumnos de 4º y 5º
grado para la Patrulla de Seguridad. A la
patrulla le acaban de capacitar por parte del
Departamento de Salud del Condado de
next week. Parents will supervise fourth and
fifth grade students as they help children leave
their cars quickly and go up the stairs. A
reminder that there is NO PARKING in the
drop-off zone from 8:00 to 4:00 every day.
Many cars have been ticketed recently.
Alameda, y van a empezar a ayudar en la
zona para dejar a los niños en la avenida 25
comenzando la próxima semana. Los padres
supervisarán a los alumnos de 4º y 5º mientras
ayuden a bajar los niños de su carros. Les
recordamos de NO ESTACIONAR en la zona
de dejar los niños entre las 8:00 y las 4:00
todos los días. A muchos carros les están
multando la policía.
Fundraising Report
Thanks to our room leaders for organizing fun
and healthy Halloween snacks. The following
money was raised towards our school’s
$30,000 fundraising goal:
 TK: $42
 Kindergarten: $228
 First grade: $438
 Second grade: $610
 Third grade: $40
 Fourth grade: $19
 Fifth grade: $130
We thank them for their hard work!
We also would like to thank Mtro. Pastrana’s
family who donated to the school in memory of
his father.

Lost and Found
Sweaters and jackets without a name written on
the label, and which have not been picked up by
November 22nd, will be donated to Goodwill.
Artículos Perdidos
Los suéteres y chamarras que no tienen nombre
en la etiqueta, y que no se recojan antes del 22
de noviembre, serán donados a la Goodwill.
