Necessary requirements are to be a registered and practicing
member of our parish.
CARE OF THE SICK
Please call the Parish Office to request sick calls for patients
at home. Fr. Mathew Thundathil, is the Chaplain visiting
patients at Mt. Sinai and Miami Heart Hospitals. If you or
someone you know is hospitalized and would like to be
visited by Fr. Mathew, please inform the hospital of your
Catholic affiliation.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES
Classes are available for children from first grade through high
school age, and for Adults in English and Spanish, from
September through May.

Newly-elected, Congressman Joe Garcia,
(Belen class of 1982) during his first speech in the
House of Representatives last month, honored one of
our very own, Pat Collins, longtime parishioner and
board member of St. Vincent de Paul: “I rise to honor
a dedicated educator, a true Miami treasure, a man
who inspired me and many others, Mr. Pat Collins.
Mr. Collins has been a social studies teacher and a
department head at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School
since 1971. Currently teaching AP U.S. Government
and Politics and U.S. Government, he moderates
Belen’s chapter of Amnesty International. Pat is instrumental in the success of Belen Jesuit’s model
United Nations program, founded the overseas study
program in 1994, and teaches civic responsibility to
his students. A charter member of the U.S. Historical
Society, Pat has received numerous awards, including
the Cornell University Outstanding Educator and the
Close up Foundations' Linda Myers Chozen Award for
teaching excellence in civics. Wow, congratulations
Pat, what a honor!

Lent begins on Wednesday, February 13th,
Ashes will be distributed during the Masses, 8am in
English, 12 noon in Spanish, 5:30pm in English and
7pm in Spanish. Stations of the Cross will take place
at 6pm in English and in Spanish after the 7pm Spanish Mass.
Please join your fellow parishioners for an
in-depth study of the book of the Acts of the Apostles
and St. Paul on Thursdays at 7pm in the school library.
Bingo & Luncheon!! Join our Women’s
Club on Monday, February 18th at 12 noon in the
Parish Hall. Entrance & Lunch is $5.00, Ten Bingo

NOTICIAS DE LA PARROQUIA
Únase a nosotros en el Salón Parroquial
los domingos a compartir y disfrutar de café y donuts,
servidos por el grupo de hombres de Emaús.
Estudio bíblico en español cada 2 do y 3ro
domingo del mes. Estaremos ofreciendo un estudio
Bíblico en español. El estudio Bíblico comenzará
este Domingo 10de febrero, en la biblioteca a las
11:30am hasta las 12:25pm.
La Cuaresma comienza el miércoles 13 de
febrero con la distribución de la ceniza, durante las
Misas de las 8:00 de la mañana en ingles, 12 del
mediodía en español, 5:30 de la tarde en ingles, y
7:00 de la noche en español. Las estaciones de la
cruz se realizaran a las 6:00 de la tarde en ingles, y
en español después de la misa de las 7:00 de la
noche.
¡Bingo y Almuerzo! Nuestro club de damas
tendrá el lunes 18 de febrero al medio día. Donación
para el almuerzo es de $5.00. Diez juegos de bingo a
$1.00 cada uno. Por favor de hacer su reserva el 15

El “Anual Taste of St. Joseph Festival”:
tendrá lugar el Domingo, 17 de marzo. Las entradas

Peregrinación de nuestro parroquia de 13
días a Tierra Santa. Bajo la guía espiritad de
nuestro Reverendo Pastor Juan J. Sosa partirá el 18
