Missionaries of Charity Shelter,
724 N.W. 17 Street,
every 3rd Sunday of the month
to cook for and feed the
homeless men of Miami.
Don’t miss this beautiful
opportunity to serve God by
serving the poor.
The shelter opens for the
volunteers at 7:30 am but they
don’t start serving food to the
homeless until 9:30am.
There is a second food service
at 10:30 am and a third at
11:30am.
Those volunteers that get to the
shelter in the morning help
prepare and serve the food
during the first service.
You are welcomed to come at
any time or day of the week.
The shelter is closed on
Thursdays.

RCIA
What is RCIA?
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a seven
month process of Faith formation and the creation of its
foundation. It is a formal program of catechetical
instruction, prayer, and liturgies whereby adults are
formally accepted into the Church through the reception
of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation,
and First Holy Communion (the Sacrament of Penance
is received later since Baptism washes away all sin —
original sin and actual sin). During the course of the
RCIA program, the individual follows a spiritual journey
of steps accomplished with formal rites.
Registration forms for Religious Education classes are
available in the Rectory Office.
Every year you have to register your child.
All classes begin in September 2016.
Classes are available for PK-4 thru 8th Grade and
Confirmation Preparation for High School
Students.
Classes for PK4 thru 5th Grade are on
Wednesdays from 3:45–5:00 pm.
Classes for 6-8th and Confirmation Preparation of High
School students are on
Wednesdays from 7:00–8:30 pm.
Classes in Spanish are held on Sundays
11:00am– 12:00pm.
RCIA classes are held on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm.

Christ sent forth the Apostles as missionaries with the

nations, Baptizing them in the name of the Father and
the Son and the Holy Spirit”. (Mt. 28:19)
¿Qué es RICA?
RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos) es un
proceso de la formación de la fe y su fundamento que
dura siete meses. Es un programa formal de
catequesis, oración, y liturgias mediante el cual los
adultos son admitidos formalmente en la Iglesia a
través de la recepción de los sacramentos de
iniciación: Bautismo, Confirmación, y Primera
Comunión (el Sacramento de la Penitencia se recibe
más tarde ya que el sacramento de Bautismo quita
todo pecado -- el pecado original y el pecado actual).
Durante el transcurso del programa de RICA, el
individuo sigue un camino espiritual de "pasos"
