agencias de transporte y agencias de turismo con el fin de establecer acuerdos de externalización y joint venture. La empresa ha desarrollado una
tableta gigante con pantalla luminosa de amplio ángulo de visión que emite imágenes de buena calidad incluso en condiciones atmosféricas adversas.
Description
A Portuguese company, specialized in the development, production and exploration of interactive media outdoors, is looking for partners to test the
concept in other European Countries.
The product is like a giant tablet with an extraordinary luminous screen with a wide viewing angle and good image even in bad weather conditions.
The robust construction is protected against vandalism with advanced security features.
It has a remote control and image capture with cameras, an alarm shock and special glass incorporated.
Index finger as a tool for consultation, only.
The main features of the equipment:
- Local news: These contents are updated remotely with the possibility of georeferenced emissions according to the location of the screens. People
can use them to send information to other people. The product can also present channel TV spots - a grid for presentation of institutional and advertising
spots. The display can present, in a rotating basis, several audio-visual contents, sorted by thematic units;
- Agenda: Regarding events it shows cultural and sport events in the city, country or region. It allows to proceed with reservations (concerts, movies,
…), locate and view the route to the event. It also allows to share the information with third parties;
- City directory: Is has an interactive multimedia directory that is a bank of useful information compiled and sorted into sections (health, transport,
services, education, restoration, tourism and leisure, culture, sports and trademarks, industrial) allowing geographically to locate shops and services
such as pharmacies, museums, mini-markets, lawyers, restaurants, hotels including the possibility to make reservations;
- How to arrive to some place;
- Reservations (events, restaurants,…);
- Mobility information (city transports, multi-modal): In terms of transport information, it indicates bus stop location, viewing times and point to point
routes, listing general information of alternative travel and mobility as well. People can search destination by keywords, enhancing the use of urban
transport.
The ability to shoot is one of the most fun
- Fan area where people can shoot high quality photos and share it immediately with friends or family anywhere in the world. Each photo is inserted
into a frame with a personalized message from the city (festive messages, themes or welcome) turning each photo a unforgettable unique moment;
- Video vigilance;
- Facial recognition (can be used to make market studies);
- Hotspot;
- Multilingual.
The company has several concept pilots running in Portugal, namely in Lisbon, for 3 years. At international level, the company already invested in Brazil
with a local company, where it is foreseen the installment of 16 interactive media outdoors in Rio de Janeiro (in the “calçadão” alongside beaches
such as Barra da Tijuca, Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon) at first stage, although this contract foresees the installment up to 152 interactive media
outdoors in Brazil. This Brazilian market was chosen strategically since it will host the Olympic Games and the interactive media outdoors will gain
visibility worldwide.
In the last years the company has participating in major fairs (related with smart cities) either in Europa, USA, Middle East, raising a lot of interest from
municipalities, tourism agencies and transport organizations.
The company has a sustainable business model, ensuring software updates and hardware maintenance.
At this stage is also dealing with ISO 9001 certification.
It has a worldwide registered trademark and although the patent has not being granted yet, the company states that it has no competition.
In its strategic expansion plan designed the company is now looking for strategic partners to test the concept worldwide, offering outsourcing
agreements to municipalities, transport agencies/authorities and tourism agencies. Joint-venture agreements with other local partners are also
considered.

- Specific area of activity of the partner: As this product can be seen as a city best friend, for outsourcing agreements the Portuguese company is
looking for municipalities, transport agencies/authorities and tourism agencies.
Joint-venture agreements are also considered with other local partners like for instance media related companies.
