Immigration
The exchange students who do not require a tourist visa to enter the Argentinean territory may
apply for the "Student Visa" (Temporary Residency) in Argentina.
Important
The Student Visa (Temporary Residency) is obtained in Argentina before the 90-days tourist visa
expires.
The application and process to obtain the visa is personal.
The National Immigration Authority in Buenos Aires is located at: Avenida Antártida Argentina
1355, Buenos Aires, Argentina (https://goo.gl/maps/NyC5B).
Appointment
The Exchange Students must request and print the appointment to apply for the "Student Visa"
(Temporary Residence). It is suggested to request the appointment in advance.
1- Access www.migraciones.gov.ar.
2- In the Residencia section, enter Gestiones y Turnos Online
3- Select the option Turno de Tramite de Residencia/DNI y Certificaciones
a.
Tipo de Tramite: Radicación (+ DNI Opcional) 1er Tramite Mayor de 16 Años
b.
Lugar de Residencia:
i. Provincia: Select the appropriate province.

4- On the next page, the National Immigration Authority requests to confirm that you have the
"Argentinean Criminal Record Certificate". CONTINUAR.
5- On the next page, enter your data as indicated in your travel document that you will use to
request your visa. CONTINUAR.
Documents
Important: Documents, originals and photocopies, are to be presented at the National Immigration
Authority on your appointment date and time. The visa payment (temporary residency) is to be
made at the National Immigration Authority on your appointment date.
1- Criminal Record Certificate from the country of origin or place of residence.
a.

2- Argentinean Certificate of Criminal Records.

Book an appointment online at www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar
i. Access www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar
ii. Enter “Inicie el Tramite de Antecedentes Penales”
iii. Select the convenient site (Sede). Important: The closest site to UCES
Centro is the Central Site (Sede Central), located in Tucumán 1353, Ciudad
de Buenos Aires.
iv. Fill the “Reservar Turno” form and enter “Reservar”.
v. Print the appointment.
vi. Enter the “Complete e Imprima el Siguiente Formulario”.

Please attend to the selected site/location on the date and time selected and pay
the appropriate fee.
c.
View, download or print the certificate (if no criminal records are found) through
the website of the National Registry of Recidivism (Registro Nacional de
Reincidencia) at (www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar).
i. Access www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar
ii. Enter “Acceda a su Certificado de Antecedentes Penales”.
iii. Enter “Sede”.

3- Argentinean Certificate of Residence.
a.
Obtain your home/bedroom rental contract or hotel/hostel payment receipt.
b.
Visit the closest police station to your accommodation.
i. Access http://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/justiciayseguridad/buscador-decomisarias
ii. Select and visit the closest police station to your accommodation.
c.
Pay $10 ARG pesos.
d.
The Argentinean Federal Police (Policia Federal Argentina) will deliver your
Argentinean Certificate of Residence (Certificado de Domicilio) at your residence.
If the Argentinean Certificate of Residence is not deliver in a 48hs term, please visit
the Police Station again to collect your Argentinean Certificate of Residence
personally.

5- Photocopies of ALL passport pages (even the empty/blank ones).

(Solicitud de Autorización de Ingreso al País – Precarga de Datos). Document provided by
