Berenda School Site Council
The Berenda School Site Council convened in a regular meeting at Berenda School on
Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
1. Roll Call and Call to Order
Present: Carsten Christiansen, Donna Grant, Mary Bispham, Scott Townsend, Liz
Carmona, Pat Rozek, Janelle Grantham, and Sandy Jones.
Absent: Laura Fabela, Victoria Cantu, and Gracie Perez
Visitors: None
Mary Bispham called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. Mr. Christiansen welcomed
everyone present and asked everyone to sign in.
2. Adoption of the Agenda
The Agenda was read. Mary Bispham asked for a motion to adopt the Agenda. Pat
Rozek made a motion to adopt the Agenda. Liz Carmona seconded the motion and it was
unanimously carried. A quorum was established.
3. Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the September 22, 2015 meeting were read. Donna Grant made a
motion to approve the minutes as read. Pat Rozek seconded the motion and it was
unanimously carried.
4. New Business
Mr. Christiansen presented the Berenda School Site Council Bylaws for approval.
Janelle Grantham made a motion to approve the Berenda School Site Council Bylaws as
presented. Donna Grant seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried.
Mr. Christiansen presented the Parent Involvement/Parent Compact for approval. Mary
Bispham made a motion to approve the Parent Involvement/Parent Compact as presented.
Janelle Grantham seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried.
We have hired Carrissa Romero for our RSP position. We have hired Cheryl Coddington
for the RtI Lit Lab position. The district is working on hiring 4 more Kindergarten aides
in the near future.
We will be installing new playground equipment in our Kindergarten play area.
We are also installing a drainpipe in front of the portables. This should help with the
flooding issue we have when it rains.
Mr. Christiansen reviewed the Berenda School Site Plan Budget.
5. Reports
Mary Bispham updated the Council on the Parent Advisory Committee’s last meeting.
They had a facilities presentation on the new Elementary as well as the new High School.
They sound very exciting. The Parent Advisory Committee is actively seeking more
parents to attend the meetings. They would like representation from all schools in
Madera.
6. Next Meeting
The next School Site Council Meeting is tentatively set for February 2, 2016, in room 39
@ 2:55 p.m.
7. Adjournment
Mary Bispham made a motion to adjourn the Berenda School Site Council Meeting. Pat
Rozek seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried. The meeting was adjourned
at 3:27 p.m.

El Consejo Escolar Berenda convocado en una reunión ordinaria en la Berenda Escolar el
Martes, 10 de noviembre 2015 a las 3:00 pm

María Bispham llamó la reunión al orden a las 15:04 el señor Christiansen dio la
bienvenida a todos los presentes y pidió a todos que iniciar sesión.
2. Aprobación del programa
El orden del día se leyó. María Bispham pidió una moción para aprobar el orden del día.
Pat Rozek hizo una moción para aprobar el orden del día. Liz Carmona apoyó la moción
y fue aprobada por unanimidad. Se estableció un quórum.
3. Aprobación del Acta
Se leyeron los minutos del 22, 2015 reunión de septiembre. Donna Concesión hizo una
moción para aprobar las actas como leídos. Pat Rozek secundó la moción y fue aprobada
por unanimidad.
4. Nuevos Negocios
El Sr. Christiansen presentó los Berenda Escuela Estatutos del Consejo Local para su
aprobación. Janelle Grantham hizo una moción para aprobar las Berenda CONSEJO
ESCOLAR Estatutos como se presenta. Donna Concesión secundó la moción y fue
aprobada por unanimidad.
El Sr. Christiansen presentó la Participación de los Padres / Compacto de Padres para su
aprobación. María Bispham hizo una moción para aprobar el Pacto de Participación de
Padres / Padres como se presenta. Janelle Grantham secundó la moción y fue aprobada
por unanimidad.
Hemos contratado Carrissa Romero por nuestra posición RSP. Hemos contratado a
Cheryl Coddington para la posición RtI Lit Lab. El distrito está trabajando en la
contratación de más de 4 ayudantes de Kindergarten en un futuro próximo.
Estaremos instalando nuevo equipo de juegos en nuestra zona de juegos Kindergarten.
También estamos instalando una tubería en frente de los portátiles. Esto debería ayudar
con el tema de las inundaciones que tenemos cuando llueve.
El Sr. Christiansen revisó el sitio Presupuesto Plan de Berenda School.
5. Informes
María Bispham informado al Consejo sobre la última reunión del Comité Asesor de
Padres. Tenían una presentación instalaciones en la nueva Primaria, así como la nueva
escuela secundaria. Suenan muy emocionante. El Comité Asesor de Padres está buscando
activamente más padres a asistir a las reuniones. A ellos les gustaría representación de
todas las escuelas en Madera.
6. Próxima reunión
La próxima reunión del Consejo Escolar se establece provisionalmente para el 02 de
febrero 2016, en la sala 39 @ 14:55
7. Clausura
María Bispham hizo una moción para terminar la reunión Berenda Consejo Escolar. Pat
Rozek secundó la moción y fue aprobada por unanimidad. La reunión concluyó a las
