Abstract: After the military uprising of July 1936 that ended the Second Republic, the
Franco regime was quick to realize in Navarra, as in the rest of Spain, a strong
administrative clearance in the Administration of Justice. We look at just one aspect that
has aroused the interest of historiography, debugging and repression of judges and clerks
of municipal courts. During the early years of the Movement lots of people with a
contrary or opposed to Franco's ideology had to go into exile or even worst were killed
while trying to scape. This paper analyzes, through specialized literature and
unpublished documents of Navarre files, what happened in the performance of the
Franco regime in relation to judges and secretaries of municipal courts killed for their
ideology in different towns in Navarre

Resumen: Tras la sublevación militar de julio de 1936 que puso fin a la Segunda
República, el régimen franquista se apresuró a realizar en Navarra, al igual que en el resto
del Estado, una contundente depuración administrativa en la Administración de Justicia.
Nos fijaremos en un aspecto que apenas ha concitado el interés de la historiografía, la
depuración y represión de los jueces y secretarios de juzgados municipales. Durante los

primeros años del Movimiento gran cantidad de ciudadanos con una ideología contraria u
opuesta al mismo tuvieron que partir al exilio o corrieron peor suerte y fueron asesinados.
Este trabajo pretende analizar, a través de bibliografía especializada y de la documentación
inédita de los archivos navarros, que ocurrió y cuál fue la actuación del régimen franquista
en relación a los precisamente jueces y secretarios de juzgados municipales de distintas
localidades navarras asesinados por su ideología.
