Arrival at the airport At the moment of your arrival at Carrasco International Airport (Montevideo), there will be a person appointed by the Organizing Committee to welcome you. Either if you are going directly to the Hotel San Rafael in Punta del Este or if you are spending one or more nights in Montevideo, the person receiving you will give you precise instructions on how to proceed with your trip. Anyway, below you will find all the information necessary to go from the airport to Hotel San Rafael in Punta del Este. For those staying in Montevideo If you are arriving before December 7th and you are planning to spend one or more nights in Montevideo, we recommend the following hotels: • Cala di Volpe Boutique Hotel, www.hotelcaladivolpe.com.uy. If for any reason we fail to meet you at the airport, you can take a taxi directly to the hotel. Buy a ticket at the airport. The prize is fixed, and it is 650 Uruguayan pesos (approximately 22 Euros or 130 Argentinian pesos). On December 7th, a minibus will be available to take you from your hotel in Montevideo to the hotel in Punta del Este. For those going directly to Punta del Este If you plan to go directly from Carrasco International Airport to the hotel in Punta del Este, a person appointed by the Organizing Committee will meet you at the airport. If for any reason there is nobody to welcome you at the airport, you can do any of the following: • Go to Punta del Este by bus. 1. COT buses run from Carrasco International Airport to Punta del Este every hour or less. Buy your ticket either at the COT agency at the airport or on the bus. (You will need Uruguayan currency. Currency exchange and ATM are available at the airport.) 2. The bus ride will take approximately one hour and a half. The bus will leave you at the bus terminal in Punta del Este, where you can get a taxi and go to Hotel San Rafael (no more references are needed). 3. The whole trip (bus + local taxi) will cost approximately 300 Uruguayan pesos, which are roughly equivalent to 10 Euros or 60 Argentinian pesos. • Go to Punta del Este by taxi. To take a taxi directly from the airport to Hotel San Rafael in Punta del Este, buy a ticket at the airport. The prize is fixed and it is 3900 Uruguayan pesos (approximately 132 Euros or 780 Argentinian pesos).
