Advent Prayer
Father, in the wilderness of the Jordan you sent a messenger to prepare people’s hearts for the
coming of your Son. Help me to hear his words and repent of my sins, so that I may clearly see
the way to walk, the truth to speak, and the life to live for Him, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Please join us for the next meeting of the St. Rose Parish Respect Life/Pro Life group on
Monday, December 15th, at 6:30 p.m. in the front room of the Adult Learning Center (ALC). As
parishioners of St Rose of Lima Parish, we are ALL members of this ministry group. We invite
you to attend this next meeting as we continue to grow and learn about the sanctity and
dignity of LIFE and what we can do as a parish family. We will also be planning for the many
Respect Life/Pro Life events happening in January 2015 including the West Coast Walk For
Life in San Francisco and the Marian Eucharistic Conference to held here at St Rose Parish.
Our Respect Life Ministry Christmas Ornament Fundraiser continues. Beautiful, spiritual and
inspirational Christmas Ornaments make wonderful gifts or as keepsakes for your own
Christmas Tree. We still have some available in the St. Rose Parish office now and thru out
the holiday season during regular office hours.
Nuestro Ministerio de Respeto a la Vida continua con la venta de Adornos Navideños. Estos

Catholic Book Club
Sandwiches On Sundays (S.O.S) takes place
each Sunday at 9:30 am in Pioneer Park, rain or
shine. A nutritious bag lunch as well as hot
soup, coffee, hot cocoa, pastries, and fruit are
provided. Items needed are gently used coats,
jackets, sweaters, gloves, socks, underwear,
tarps, tents, propane stoves, sleeping bags,
and blankets. Suggested food items are bread,
fruit, granola bars, creamy peanut butter, jam,
nuts, raisins, dried fruit, chips, cookies, goldfish
crackers, bottled waters, etc. Can you help with
your time, talent or treasure?

All parishioners are invited to join us as we read our next book “33 Days to Morning Glory” by
Michael E. Gaitley, MIC. This is a moving and transformative journey into the loving and
maternal heart of Our Blessed Mother. We will begin our journey on December 31 and end on
February 2, 2015. Books are $4.00 and are available in the vestibule of the church. Our next
meeting will be be Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the Adult Learning Center.
