Dear Parishioners,
For the next few days we will be celebrating different
important events of the liturgical year; The Ascension
of the Lord, Pentecost, The Holy Trinity, Corpus Christi
and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. These celebrations are
important for the growth of our faith. The Ascension
reminds us of our dignity as a Christian and gives us
hope to reach our Lord Jesus Christ . Jesus enters into
heaven and enjoys the glory of the Father. The smallness of our lives needs the greatness of God . With out
Him our lives will forever be forgotten and lost, unable
to rise to the degree and level of potential we carry in
the core of our lives. Being dependent on God and interdependent among ourselves, we have to expand our inner consciousness in the direction of God and one another.

En los próximos días estaremos celebrando diferentes
eventos importantes del año litúrgico; La Ascensión del
Señor, Pentecostés, la Santísima Trinidad, el Corpus
Christi y del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Estas celebraciones son importantes para el crecimiento de nuestra
fe. La ascensión nos recuerda nuestra dignidad como
cristiano y nos da la esperanza de llegar a nuestro Señor
Jesucristo. Jesús entra en el cielo y disfruta de la gloria
del Padre. La pequeñez de nuestra vida necesita la grandeza de Dios. Sin Él nuestras vidas se olvidaran y se
perderan para siempre, seriamos incapaces de levantarnos con un grado y nivel de potencia que llevamos en el
centro de nuestras vidas. Ser dependiente de Dios y ser
independientes entre nosotros mismos, tenemos que
expandir nuestra conciencia interior en la dirección de
Dios y uno con el otro.

NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
Kathmandu, Nepal has been hard hit by a recent
7.5 magnitude earthquake. Many people find themselves without the necessary resources to meet
basic survival needs. I invite you, on June 7 to donate for the people of Nepal and those who face the
daunting challenge of rebuilding their city, their
country and their lives. Parishioners who would
like to donate should make their checks payable to
“Our Lady of the Pillar” with “Nepal Earthquake
Relief” in the memo line.
Let us keep these and all victims of natural disasters in our prayers.
