Currently, even having different methodologies of teaching and learning very satisfying and
motivating for students and more effective than traditional methodologies, in many schools is still
implementing a rote methodology.
This work is the result of the learning experience during two weeks with students from 6 primary
education. They have special educational needs and they have never worked through Project Based
Learning (PBL). This working method is base on proposing a problem to the students and introducing
theoretical and practical issues for them with the aim of trying to get students that are able to solve

this problem and reach a solution with all the resources and knowledge they have acquired during
this period.
Specifically, with this project I want the students to enjoy mathematics and to be able to get the
result of operations, especially in operations with decimal numbers. To do this, we will do diverse,
dynamic and motivating activities.

Actualmente, aun habiendo diversas metodologías de enseñanza-aprendizaje muy satisfactorias y
motivadoras para los alumnos y más eficaces que las metodologías tradicionales, en muchos colegios
se sigue implantando una metodología memorística. El presente trabajo es fruto de la experiencia
didáctica durante dos semanas con alumnos de 6º de educación primaria con necesidades educativas
especiales, los cuales nunca han trabajado mediante la metodología Project Based LearningAprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (PBL). Este método de trabajo consiste en plantear un problema a
los alumnos e ir introduciendo temas teóricos y prácticos para que ellos, al final del proyecto, sean

capaces de resolver ese problema y llegar a una solución con todos los recursos y conocimientos que
han adquirido durante este periodo.
Concretamente, con este proyecto quiero conseguir que los propios alumnos disfruten de las
matemáticas y sean capaces especialmente de realizar operaciones con números decimales. Para
ello, realizaremos actividades diversas, dinámicas y motivadoras.
