Dear Parents, We would like to welcome you back to another great school year at Tavola! This year we will again be welcoming over 900 students. Our first priority is to provide a safe learning environment for our students. The information below details a few reminders that will help everyone to have a smooth start to the school year! Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we begin school on August 22nd! ● When dropping your student off in the morning in the car rider line, you will notice that there is only one line for drop off. This is for student safety. When two lines are moving at the same time and students are getting out of vehicles in both lanes without an escort, accidents can occur. Please help us by staying in the assigned lane and waiting for a staff member to help your child from the car. We try very hard to have adequate staff in the front parking lot to assist with morning drop ­ off. The line often gets very long around 7:25 as many parents bring their children at that time. ● School begins at 7:35. If you arrive after this time, please come into the office to sign­in your student as they will be counted tardy. Our goal is that every child can begin instruction with their class! ● We welcome you to walk your child to class on the first day of school. However, please be prepared for large crowds and parking challenges. After the first day of school, parents must go in the office to sign ­ in with valid I.D. if they wish to enter the building. After the 3rd day of school, we ask that students walk themselves to class. We have staff stationed in the hallways throughout the year to assist students in finding their classroom. ● Afternoon dismissal is always somewhat slower than later in the year. We work hard to ensure that safety protocols are enforced and that we dismiss students in an efficient manner. If your student is a car rider, please be sure that you have filled out the Car Rider Tag Request Form that can be printed from our website or picked up in the front office. If your vehicle does not have the school issued car tag, you will be asked to park your car and go to the front office to attain one. If you are a parent that participates in a car pool, please be sure that you have a car rider tag for the students you are responsible for. ● Please remain in your vehicle in the car rider line. Campus staff will bring your student to the car. Please refrain from cell phone use while in the line. ● We realize that emergencies happen! If you need to change the way your child will be going home during the school year, please send the request to [email protected] by 2:00 P.M. If you do not have access to a computer, please call the school by 2:00 P.M. When you call, we will ask for pertinent info regarding your student. By calling at this time, we are able to get the request to the teacher before dismissal. Thank you!
