Greetings Bush Patriot Families!
As we prepare to conclude our first six week of school, we would like to remind you of our procedures for drop
off and pick up each day. While I can understand that at times it might be tempting to stray from these procedures, when that occurs, it can disrupt the system as well as put your child in danger.
Morning ARRIVAL for Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade









Children may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m. Please do not drop children off before this time as we
do not have staff in the building to supervise children until 7:30 a.m.
Please make sure that your children arrive between 7:30 a.m. & 8:15 a.m.
Use only the Spring Valley entrance for dropping off children by car. Also, please do not use the parking lot to
drop off your children. This creates a dangerous situation for your child. The back drive is used for buses
only.
Make sure that your children have all of their things ready and are prepared for a quick departure from the
car when you pull into the driveway.
Please pull all the way up and follow directions from our Safety Patrol and staff.
After arriving, breakfast eaters and Pre-Kinder students report to the cafeteria; Kindergarten -2nd grade
students will report to the gym and 3rd-5th grade students will report to the auditorium.
The time from 7:30 a.m. until 8:05 a.m. will be used for reading. Parents can assist by assuring that books
are placed in their child's backpack each morning.
Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade teachers will pick up their classes promptly at 8:05 a.m.
Students are considered tardy at 8:16 a.m. If arriving after 8:16 a.m., students must report to the front
office for a tardy slip.
Afternoon DISMISSAL for Car Riders and/or Car Poolers



Use only the Spring Valley Road entrance when picking up students in cars. You must have a BLUE Car Rider
Tag (issued by George H.W. Bush Elementary at Back-to-School night ). Car riders will only be dismissed to
adults WITH AN OFFICIAL BLUE CAR RIDER TAG. Please be prepared to show your tag to the teacher at the
end of the drive and again closer to the loading zone. Additional Car Rider tags can be obtained in the main
office.
Parents should stay in their car and follow the directions of the Safety Patrol and/or staff members on duty.
Once you have collected all your car riders, you may carefully follow the cars out of the driveway onto Spring
Valley Road. Please watch for pedestrians walking to the Loos parking lot and those walking across the
street.

Al prepararnos para concluir nuestra primera semana seis de escuela, me gustaría recordar que nuestros
procedimientos para dejar y recoge cada día. Aunque puedo entender que a veces podría ser tentador para alejarse
de estos procedimientos, cuando esto ocurre, puede interrumpir el sistema, así como poner a su hijo en peligro.

Corredores de autos sólo serán despedidos a adultos con un oficial azul coche RIDER TAG. Por favor estar
