Notes from the Principal
My congratulations to all the graduates this past
Saturday. I tip my hat to our two valedictorians
Whitney Galloway and Chris Risma.
The closing of each year brings change. Some staff
are moving on to other jobs, challenges, or locations.
I wish them each well – we have been fortunate to
have them.
As of this writing they are:
Matthew Fenimore, Laura Manker, Kristie Drillot,
Erin Swanson, Bernie Manker, Ghislain Sabre, Michael
Holmes, Burke Edgar, Ned Avery, Sean Kemp, Melissa
Morrison, Dennis Trowbridge, Lauren Bowers, Sarah
Green, Eric Godsman, and Nadia Archuleta.
I too am moving on. Though very sad to be leaving, I
am thankful for the six years I have been able to
serve The Academy. To the students and families, I
wish you well also.
Final grade reporting by teachers was due Tuesday
May 28th. It will take a couple days to verify the
grades – publish them to the portal – and then mail
report cards.

In an effort to maintain campus safety and security we
ask that you please do not open doors (or hold them
open) for students or other parents wishing to enter the
school. All visitors must come through the main office.

The Main Campus Heath Office is in need of the following:
Non-latex bandages- all sizes, sandwich-size Zip-lock baggies and
Kleenex. Thank you for your generosity.
Remember! Each $5 spent equals one hour of volunteer time!
A Note from the Registrar
Need to update your email address or phone number? You can now do both of these
using the Parent Portal. To update your email, use the 'Contact Preferences' tab. To
update phone numbers, use the 'Family Members' tab. All changes are sent to the
Registrar for approval within 48 hours. The process for updating an address and/or
emergency contact has not changed. Please fill out the Household Change Form, which
can be obtained from either the north campus or main campus front office. Please
remember that if your address needs updating you will also need to provide 2 forms of
proof of residency (mortgage statement, lease agreement, utility bill, etc) and a
photocopy of the parent/guardian photo ID.
FREE SUMMER BREAKFAST AND LUNCH PROGRAM
Adams 12 Five Star Schools, through the USDA, will be offering a free
summer breakfast and lunch program at Centennial Elementary, Coronado
Hills Elementary, Leroy Drive Elementary, STEM Launch, and The Studio
School. The program runs from May 28th through August 9th. Breakfast is
served from 8:00am to 8:30am and lunch is served from 11:00am to
12:00pm (10:45am to 12:00pm for Leroy and Centennial). All children ages
1 to 18 are welcome to participate. Parents may purchase a meal for $3.00.
PROGRAMA DE DESAYUNO Y ALMUERZO GRATUITO EN EL VERANO
Adams 12 Five Star Schools, a través de la USDA, ofrecerá un programa de desayuno y
almuerzo gratuito en el verano en Centennial Elementary, Coronado Hills Elementary,
Leroy Drive Elementary, STEM Launch, yThe Studio School. El programa corre del 28
de Mayo hasta el 9 de Agosto, el desayuno se sirve de 8:00 a 8:30 a.m. y el almuerzo
se sirve de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m (10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Leroy y Centennial). Se
invita a participar a todos los niños entre las edades de 1 a 18 años. Los padres de
familia pueden comprar el almuerzo por $3.00.
MILK CAPS FOR MOOLA!
Bring in your (family and friends too!) milk caps from Longmont Dairy
bottles and The Academy will receive 5¢ for every milk cap! Bring
milk caps to the main office.
