mission statement. By Mary’s obedience to
God’s will, the Divine Word becomes man.
When we do God’s will, God’s presence is
made manifest in us. Do we take time to
listen to and cooperate with God’s will or
are we too focused on our own will? What
is God asking of you today and this week?

more and she and her family must attend mass
on regular basis. Ceremony will be celebrated
on Saturday’s if the date is available per the
parish calendar. For more information, please
contact the parish office at least 6 months in
advance.

Pastoral Care of the Sick: Holy Communion
and Anointing of the Sick can be brought to those
at home, in hospitals or nursing homes upon
request of a family member. Please contact the
office for the Sacrament of the Sick before any
hospital stay.

INFORMACION PARA BAUTISMO Y CLASE PARA BAUTISMO
Baptism registrations will be taken during the month of December 22 & 23 from 9:00am12:30pm and 1:30pm-5:00 AT THE PARISH OFFICE BEFORE YOU CAN BAPTIZE OR
ATTEND CLASS.
BAPTISM INFORMATION
REQUIRED ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AT TIME OF REGISTRATION
• Legal birth certificate original of the child (Issued by Government Dept. of Health & Vital
Statistics)
• Original Catholic Church Marriage Certificate for Godparents (only if Godparents are a
couple).
• Original Baptism, First Communion & Confirmation Certificates (If Godparents are
single) Must be 16 years or older.
• If parents or Godparents are members of another church they must bring a letter from
their church giving them permission to baptize here at San Francisco Javier.
• Parents & Godparents who have already taken the Baptism Class (MUST) present the
certificate at the time of registration along with a Covenant Form for Godparents.
BAPTISM CLASS INFORMATION
• Baptism in English will be Saturday, January 23 at 11:00 am.

• Acta legal de nacimiento del niño. (Documento hecho por el Departamento de Salud y de
Estadística Esencial).
• Acta de matrimonio de la Iglesia Católica de los Padrinos (si los padrinos están como
pareja casada)
• Acta de Bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación (si los Padrino son solteros)
Deberán ser mayores de 16 años.
• Si los padres o Padrinos pertenecen a otra parroquia ellos deben traer una carta de la esa
parroquia dándoles permiso para bautizar aquí en San Francisco Javier.
• Padres y Padrinos que ya han tomado la Clase de Bautismo (NECESITAN) presentar
el certificado/comprobante en el momento de que se están registrándose junto con una
Forma de Convenio para Padrinos.
CLASE PARA BAUTISMO
• Clase para Bautismo: 11 de enero a las 7 de la tarde en el salón parroquial
• Habrá celebración de bautismo en español el sábado, 23 de enero a las 10:00 de la mañana.

OUTSIDE OUR PARISH
With September being one of the top months for live births, January is the perfect time to
spiritually adopt a recently conceived baby to protect it from an abortion. You can do this
with other women of the Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women at their January 16, 2016
meeting at St. Albert the Great Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin. We begin with a Prayer
Service at 9:00 AM, followed by a business meeting and complementary brunch. The program
features a nurse practitioner from Seton’s neonatal unit sharing experiences and stories about the
