It is a fabolous
mythological bird that
lived in the desert of
Arabia, its appeaance was
similar to that of a heron,
the size of an eagle, and it
had 2 long feather as a
crest.
In Greek mythology, the
phoenix is a long-lived bird
that regenerates from the ashes
of its predecessor. According to
some sources, the phoenix dies
in a spectacle of flames and
combustion, although there are
other sources that claim that
the legendary bird dies and
simply decomposes before
being born again.
It is belived that the
Phoenix bird lives a
thousand years, that it is
reborn when it dies and that
its youth is perennial. When
the time of its end comes to
the Phoenix bird it build a
nest of sandalwood and
other resinous and
perfumed woods and herbs,
on top of a Mountain in
distant Arabia, where it
lives
