THE RING OF FIRE The ring of fire or ring of fire is the result of a subduction of the Nazca plates, the Cocos plate and the Latin American plate. It is a tectonic chain that measures 40,000 kilometers that is located in the Pacific Ocean in the shape of a horseshoe that is characterized by having a lot of volcanic and seismic activity. It is also responsible for 90% of the planet's seismic activity and the highest volcanic activity in the world.
