Special add. Country
Requirements
This point requires special
emphasis to avoid serious
problems to importers. There are
no restrictions regarding the
number and types of seals used.
Seals mentioned in the BL must be
mentioned in the Manifest and
vice-versa. Seals mentioned in the
BL must be found intact on
thecontainer. Lack or discrepancy
of seals will cause customs to hold
the cargo for detailed
official survey of contents. This
official survey can take over one
month to be performed. If the
importer formally expresses his
wish NOT to proceed with the
official survey, then a Ship's
Agentdeclaration clarifying the
problem may be enough to solve
the issue.
Freight charges and surcharges
must be shown in the manifest.
We can accept b/l without freight (
as agree, as per agreement) but
the manifest must show the freight
and charges. However, if
consignee request break down the
freight and charges according your
negotiation and commercial
invoice, we will have to emit freight
certification based on information
registered in manifest. Freight
charges and surcharges shown in
the BL must reflect the exact
amount shown in the manifest.
Comments
The port provides this informartion
to agent. If the seal is different the
Agent notifies customer.

By local law at least one seal must
be added, but can add as many as
the customer wants.
It is imperative to properly seal the
containers. Info in B/L and
manifest must be the same. Lack
of correct information could delay
the delivery of cargo.
As per Local Customs requirement
law (3489, Art 16, e) freighted Bill
of Lading is required because this
is information that Customs will
use to calculate charges relevant
to the shipment. Also NVOCC
needs to be freighted.
Part Loads not allowed at all.
Multiple consignees for same
container is prohibited.
According to customers request, if
a clause is needed we add this
information. But according to local
law is not necessary.
