Pasado Simple - (Simple Past Tense)
El Pasado Simple es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para describir
acciones que han sucedido en un tiempo anterior y que ya han
finalizado, por ejemplo:
She cleaned her house. Ella limpió su casa.
I broke the window. Yo rompí la ventana.
Forma afirmativa:
Para formarla utilizamos la siguiente estructura
Sujeto + Verbo en pasado + Complemento
She studied english last year (Ella estudió ingles el año pasado)
Forma negativa:
En la forma negativa usaremos el auxiliar “DID NOT” siendo su
forma contraída DIDN´T y el verbo en forma base
Para formarla usamos la siguiente estructura
Sujeto + Didn´t + Verbo en forma base + Complemento
He didn´t go to school yesterday (El no fue a la escuela ayer)
Forma interrogativa:
Para hacer preguntas acerca del pasado usamos el auxiliar DID
y el verbo en forma base
La estructura a seguir para hacer preguntas es la siguiente:
PALABRA INTERROGATIVA (WHAT, WHERE, WHICH, WHY,
WHO, HOW) +DID + SUJETO + VERBO (EN FORMA BASE) +
COMPLEMENTO.
Por ejemplo:
