INVICTUS
1-The first scene of the film shows a South Africa waiting for what would happen after the
liberation of Nelson mandela, and his election as new president, there are fears and
happiness in a country that is divided by racism but now begins a period of Transition to
write a new story leaving aside all these prejudices.
2-After the election of Mandela as president, many believed that he could not lead the
country, especially whites who began to fear for their jobs and the social level to which
they were accustomed; On the other hand things for the black community begin to
improve since they start to be heard from that moment and will no longer be victims of
racism in the country.
3- The political situation at the beginning of the film was too tense, since until that
moment no member of the black community had been part of the policy, everything was
for whites, only they could vote, until that moment the country had hardly left the
Famous apartheid, South Africa was on the verge of a civil war.
4-In this scene we could see the tension that is living in the country at that time, the fear
of the community for what could happen to Mandela since not everyone agreed with
either his policy or his choice, but mandela He was calm and confident with what would
begin to happen in his country.
5-Mandela was certainly a different man who believed that change would start with
forgiveness and reconciliation, despite everything he had to go through, he was not a man
of grudges or hatreds, his thinking was different from that of a people tired of Humiliation,
he knew that the best opportunitie for South Africa was for everyone to work as one, he
was a reflexive, intelligent person with a unique philosophy of leadership.
6-In that meeting, Mandela told all the employees that there was no reason to fear the
new government, he would not make the same mistakes as his predecessor, that if they
felt they could not work with him, they would left, but he asked them to stay To those
who really wanted that job, nothing would change for those who were there.
