Paintings by Greg De Lucca
Local artist Greg De Lucca
strives
to
realistically
present
natural
beauty
through his oil paintings. His
favored subjects include the
Maine
seacoast,
New
Mexico
environs,
and
especially the Napa Valley.
Following his reception, De
Lucca
will
give
a
retrospective presentation “You, too, can have fun
painting.” Refreshments will be served. Before
retiring, De Lucca was an executive at the CocaCola Company and former president of Sterling
Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean, and Lyeth Winery.

and industry authority
Richard Mendelson tells a
detailed story of the birth,
definition and protection of
America’s most famous
wine region. Along the way, he provides incisive
portraits of the men and women who joined hands
in common cause and common spirit, igniting a
revolution in American wine and food in the
process. Books will be available for purchase and
signing. Refreshments will be served.

CELEBRATE PRIDE MONTH
Pride Night
A COMMUNITY EVENT & INFORMATION FAIR
Libraries across the nation offer a wide variety of
cultural and educational programs to celebrate
diversity in their communities. Join us to celebrate
PRIDE Night 2016 to learn about local LGBT
community organizations. Enjoy music, meet
friends, and celebrate diversity. There will be a
special appearance by “CHER.” Refreshments will
be served.

Introducing a new Tuesday morning treat: come to the library to
watch a screening and enjoy a cup of coffee! Programs will include
documentaries and stand-alone episodes on various topics. We will
surprise you! In June we will begin by showing “Jackie Robinson,” the
new Ken Burns documentary from PBS.

Exercise Your Mind
ADULT SUMMER READING PROGRAM 2016
This year, the theme for the Collaborative Summer Reading Program is “Exercise Your Mind.”
Therefore, we have designed a Reading log that
gives you an opportunity to try multiple genres or formats! Reading
Logs will be available at the Front Desk, complete a minimum of five
of the thirteen categories and turn in your Reading Log by August
31st. All Reading Logs will be entered into a raffle to win one of four
$25 gift certificates!

Puppylocks & the Three Bears

MAGICAL MOONSHINE THEATRE
What if the Three Bears
were really Teddy Bears?
And what if Goldilocks
was not a little girl at all,
but a golden, mischievous little dog? That is
exactly the case is this very funny retelling of the
traditional fairytale. Watch this impish little dog do
everything wrong in the bear's house while the
bears are off to the TEDDYBEAR CIRCUS! Held on
the front lawn. About 40 minutes; recommended
for ages 3 and up.

SPANISH LANGUAGE IMMERSION CAMP
¡Aventuras en la Biblioteca!
The goal of the Summer Reading Program is to
encourage children and teens to read! Every 10
books read by or to a child earns a prize. Those
kids who make it to the Big Goal of 100 books will
earn 10 prizes, and their name will be engraved on
the 2016 Readers’ Hall of Fame plaque. So, readers, pick up your reading log and start tracking
those titles and earn prizes!
Watch for all the special summer activities for kids
at the Library!
Keep an eye out for these fun family friendly
programs.
