DIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS (Complementos Directos) Pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition
Direct Object Pronouns replace the receiver of the action.
They answer the questions WHO? Or WHAT? They are often a thing, but can be a person.
ME
NOS
TE
OS
LO/LA
LOS/LAS
Examples: Compro las uvas. (What do I buy?)
grapes
Las compro en el supermercado (I buy them in the supermarket.)
Te ayudo con la tarea. (Who do I help?)
I help you.
Answer the following questions, using the correct direct object pronouns. (Pay attention to the verb forms, as well. If
the question is being asked of someone in particular, in which form would that person/s answer back?)
Step one: find the correct direct object pronoun to replace the receiver of the action
Step two: check the verb form: If the question is asked of you, did you answer back in the “Yo” form?
