Transport of BOP and LMRP offshore equipment in Las Palmas
ALE has succesfully completed the transport manoeuvres of the BOP and LMRP equipment.
The characteristics of the pieces were:
1 No. BOP:
5,080 x 5,080 x 11,463.4mm; 247t (including the transport skid).
2 No. LMRP:
5,080 x 5,080 x 8,387.4 mm; 135t (including the transport skid).
To complete this work it was used a 4x6 SPMT configuration with a Power Pack. The operations performed
by ALE for the transport of the modules, were:
First movement: transport of the 1st LMRP from offshore platform to dock end.
Second movement: transport of the 1st LMRP from dock end to the offshore platform.
Third and fourth movement: transport of the new modules LMPR and BOP from the H/L ship to the
platform
