ARIADNA BRAVO, FROM FANLYC, VISITS THE MEF Officials of different Directions support her with donations. With a great spirit of solidarity, affection and enthusiasm, officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), received a visit from the girl Ariadna Bravo, of the Foundation Friends of Children with Leukemia and Cancer (FANLYC), who was adopted as goddaughter of this institution. The girl Ariadna Bravo is one year old and is a native of the district of San Miguelito, Province of Panama. In the various locations that conform the MEF, the sponsored undertook a tour, to visit and greet the staff of each department, take photos and enjoy the feast and cash donations to help defray the costs of her clinical treatment, offered by the high hierarchy, Eyda Varela de Chinchilla, Minister in charge, Ivan Zarak, deputy minister of Economy, directors and collaborators of the institution. As part of her tour, Ariadna visited the facilities of the General Directorate of Revenue, where she was received by the new Director of this entity, Publio Ricardo Cortes and his colleagues, who delivered gifts, cash donations and shared with her a pleasant evening in an atmosphere of solidarity. Mrs. Ariadna Quijada, mother of the MEF’s goddaughter, thanked the gesture of solidarity and spiritual, emotional and economic support, and extended a cordial invitation to all the staff members to participate in the walk "Relevo por la Vida", which will take place this Saturday, October 18th of this year in the Amador Causeway, from 8:00 a.m. In support of this initiative and as godfather of the girl Ariadna Bravo, the Ministry of Economy and Finance prepares to participate in this activity and will cover the cost of $5.00 as a donation of the first 100 collaborators that made the tour of three kilometers, which is the target in this event. As a sample of the sense of social responsibility and cooperation, UABR officials of Panama and Colon, raised the significant contribution of US$730.00 to collaborate with this noble cause. The authorities of the MEF, directors and collaborators expressed their feeling letting Mrs. Ariadna Quijada know their solidarity support for her daughter. The Fanlyc foundation is a not-for-profit organization that aims to provide help to the children who suffer from leukemia and cancer. To date, the Foundation serves about 872 children, of whom there is a plural number that is kept in treatment, 263 are girls and 298 boys.
