STRENGTHEN THE MUNICIPALITY
Municipal Development Program (PRODEM) presented a contribution and equipment to
the municipality of Bugaba, which will help to strengthen the municipal management.
In support and recognition to the daily work done by the municipality of Bugaba in the
province of Chiriqui, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through the Municipal
Development Program (PRODEM), presented a check in the amount of US$ 150,000.00, 3
vehicles type pick up, Toyota Hilux, 2013, valued at US$ 28,489.91 per unit and a
motorcycle type four Wheel, with a value of US$ 8,025.00, said the Director of Regional
Planning, from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Anayansi Guerra.
The municipality of Bugaba represents an area of development in agriculture, farming and
industry and the donation of vehicles will allow them to perform their work of raising
taxes on hard-to-reach places of the region and with the economic injection, authorities
may carry out improvements to the system of electrification of the Municipality,
emphasized Guerra.
The delivery of the check, the motorcycle and the keys of the car, the mayor of the
district, Dr. Joaquin Castillo, was undertaken by the Director of Regional Planning,
Anayansi Guerra. The mayor Castillo, who thanked the authorities of the institution by the
contribution and social responsibility to the population and pondered the work being
done by the director, in the allocation of resources, in accordance with the goals
established in the programming to support the integral and sustainable development of
the municipalities.
For its part, the Director of the MEF in her speech reiterated the commitment to continue
to support the municipalities in the improvement of their administrations, as we have a
highly qualified technical personnel to guide it in the best manner, and thus face the
challenges of the future with the security of that with the joint effort we can raise the
quality of life of communities.
In the activity were present congressman Rony Arauz circuit 4-3 and the Honorable
representatives of the Communal Council Mitzi Guerra and Ariel Espinosa, who weighed
the support by the Minister Frank De Lima.
In another action of the authorities of the MEF, in the province of Chiriqui, the director
Guerra visited the municipality of Alanje where celebrated 422 years of the foundation of
the district, an occasion that was conducive to inaugurate the park Juan de la Cruz Rueda,
located in that area, in the company of the authorities of the region, where with funds and
resources of the municipality and the contribution of the PRODEM of US$ 190,000.00, was
carried out the design, manufacture and development of drawings, specifications and
construction, improvements and supply of materials for the 2 nd stage of the abovementioned vergel.
At the close of the event, the mayor of the district, Melva Aguilar and Congressman José
Manuel Lozada, circuit 4-4 thanked the Minister of the MEF, Frank De Lima, by the
support provided to all the municipalities and communities of the country.
