ORLINDA USANDIVARES GUERRA “La educación es muy importante en el mundo de negocios modernos. ¡Estoy emocionada por las oportunidades que trae!” Mosqoy | mos-­‐koi Quechua word for dream Did you know…? To date, Mosqoy has sponsored over 60 marginalized youth through post-­‐secondary education. “Education is very important in the modern business world. I am excited for the opportunities it brings!” In February we welcomed Orlinda Usandivares Guerra to the Mosqoy family. She is a diligent student currently finishing up her preparatory classes at the Khipu Institute and will begin her first semester majoring in Computer Science and Information Technology this April. She is a joy to have around the house, as she is always eager to participate and socialize! When she’s not busy with her studies she loves to sing and dance and even writes some of her own songs. Orlinda cherishes the traditions of her community Tanccac, and she often dances at its various festivals throughout the year. Orlinda’s parents both work as farmers, raising and caring for bulls, chickens, dogs, cats and guinea pigs. Computer Science Student at Khipu Institute US $3000 per year for 3 years About Orlinda Orlinda is still thinking about ways to implement her professional degree into her community after she finishes her studies. (She just started her degree, after all!) She is looking forward to finding inspiration from her interactions with the other Casa Mosqoy students, volunteers and alumni. She is also excited to learn more about the different carreer opportunities for a computer sciences major and is excited to explore these options during the internship portion of her program. She has always been a good student and is determined to succeed academically during her time at the institute.
