St. Andrew Church would like to invite the community to
please join us in celebrating Fr. Corral’s 50th Anniversary
on April 3rd, 2016 during the Feast of Divine Mercy.
Mass will be at 2:00pm with reception to follow. All are

DRAWN INTO THE STORY
“We are witnesses!” The scripture readings for Easter Sunday
concentrate on details reported by eyewitnesses. Listen carefully
and you will be drawn into the stories yourself. Peter reports the
good works Jesus did, his death on the cross, and his resurrection.
The passage from John’s Gospel has us running to the empty tomb
with Peter and John and peering inside to see the cloths used to
cover Jesus’ body. Psalm 118 sums up our response: “It is wonderful
in our eyes!”
What resurrection details do we see in our lives today? How have
we died to our old lives and been raised up again with Jesus? Let us
pay attention to the new life around us. It is wonderful in our eyes.
FAMOSA News Corner
The Filipino Ministry would like to invite everyone to the 9 Days
Divine Mercy Novena in the Pastoral Center Chapel starting at
6:30pm. This novena will run now through April 2nd, 2016, all are
welcome to come!
Pastoral Center Closed
The Pastoral Center will be closed on Monday, March
28th in Observance of Easter. We will reopen, Tuesday,
March 29th for our regular scheduled hours. Thank you!
24 Hours for the Lord Reflection
A Time of Blessing
On Friday, March 4 & Saturday, March 5th, our Holy
Father, Pope Francis declared a day of mercy and prayer.
St. Andrew Parish was one of the selected parishes to
open its doors to host 24 hours of prayer and confession.
Fr. Paul, our Pastor witnessed several hundred people
praying and going to confession over the 24 hour period.
Both he and Fr. Corral, noted that it was a time of Blessing
and grace not only for those who received the sacrament
of confession but for them as well. Let us all thank Pope
Francis for the tremendous blessing he bestowed to the
world.

MYTHS: Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is an issue that has received extensive attention lately
in local and national news, yet the issue can be confusing and is often
misunderstood. Many people believe that a victim must be moved
from one location to another, or across state or international borders.
Transportation is only one element. It is important for us to remember
that victims could be exploited in their own states and neighborhoods,
or even at home. We need to pay particular attention to the reality that
children, one of the most vulnerable and sought-after populations
by traffickers, could be victims of trafficking and yet could still come
home every night for dinner, sleep in their own beds, and be present at
school every day, as the traffickers will do whatever they need to do to

We have heard that some parishioners are wondering
"Where is the Café?” The Café is still here, unfortunately
between the weatherman predicting bad weather and
scheduling around other fund raiser events we have been
unable to schedule our Café. Please be assured that we are
here to serve you. Our first Café will be on Sunday, April 3
from 7:00am till 2:00pm. Mark your calendars and come
join us for good food and socializing with our patrons
here at St. Andrew. Thank you!
Prayer for the Jubilee of Mercy
Lord Jesus Christ,
you have taught us to be merciful like the heavenly
Father, and have told us that whoever sees you sees Him.
Show us your face and we will be saved.
Your loving gaze freed Zacchaeus and Matthew from
being enslaved by money; the adulteress and Magdalene
from seeking happiness only in created things;
made Peter weep after his betrayal, and assured Paradise
to the repentant thief. Let us hear, as if addressed to each
one of us, the words that you spoke to the Samaritan
woman: “If you knew the gift of God!”
Calling All Young Adults!
Please join the St. Andrew Young Adult Ministry every Wednesday for
faith sharing and bible study at 7: 30 p.m. in the Pastoral Center. We
discuss and reflect on the readings for this upcoming Sunday and have a
potluck dinner afterwards. Please enter through the side entrance.
You are the visible face of the invisible Father,
of the God who manifests his power above all by
forgiveness and mercy:

face in the world, its Lord risen
and glorified.
You willed that your ministers
would also be clothed in
weakness in order that they may
feel compassion for those in
ignorance and error:

them feel sought after, loved,
and forgiven by God.
Send your Spirit and consecrate every one of us with its
anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a year of
grace from the Lord, and your Church, with renewed
enthusiasm, may bring good news to the poor, proclaim
liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight
to the blind.
We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of
Mercy, you who live and reign with the Father and the
Holy Spirit for ever and ever.

CAPTURADO POR LA HISTORIA
“¡Somos testigos!” Las lecturas bíblicas del Domingo de
Pascua se centran en detalles reportados por testigos oculares.
Escucha detenidamente y sentirás que la historia te captura. Pedro
reporta las buenas obras hechas por Jesús, su muerte en la cruz, y su
Resurrección. El pasaje del Evangelio de san Juan nos hace correr a
la tumba vacía con Pedro y Juan, y dar una mirada adentro para ver
el lienzo usado para cubrir el cuerpo de Jesús. El Salmo 118 resume
nuestra respuesta: “¡Es un milagro patente!”
¿Qué detalles de resurrección vemos hoy en nuestra vida?
¿Cómo hemos muerto a la vida vieja y resucitado de nuevo con
Jesús? Tengamos bien en cuenta la nueva vida que nos rodea. Es un
milagro patente.
La Iglesia San Andrés quisiera invitar a la comunidad
para que nos acompañe en la celebración del Padre
Corral, en su Aniversario número 50 Aniversario
el 3 de abril del 2016, durante la Fiesta de la Divina
Misericordia. La misa será a las 2:00pm con la recepción

Te sientes triste, agobiado, enfermo, solo, alejado de Dios? El Grupo de
Oración te invita a celebrar una linda misa de sanación. Quieres sanar tus
heridas físicas, emocionales, espirituales, participa en esta Santa misa será
el Miércoles, 6 de Abril en la parroquia. Comenzara con alabanzas a las
6:30pm y la misa a las 7pm. Habrá imposición de manos y unción a los
enfermos. Los invitamos a dejar que el Señor obre por ustedes.

¿SABIA USTED?
MITOS: el tráfico de seres humanos
El tráfico de seres humanos es un asunto que ha recibido gran atención
últimamente tanto en noticias locales como nacionales, pero aun
así este asunto puede ser confuso y muchas veces es malentendido.
Muchas personas creen que una víctima debe ser removida de un
local a otro, o a otro estado o cruzar fronteras internacionales. Es
importante recordar que las víctimas pueden ser explotadas en sus
propios estados o vecindades, o aún en su propia casa. Debemos
prestar atención a la realidad de que los niños, una de las poblaciones
más vulnerables y perseguidas por traficantes, pueden ser víctimas
de tráfico y aun así llegar a casa cada noche para cenar, dormir en
sus propias camas, y estar presente en la escuela cada día, mientras
los traficantes hacen lo que sea para evitar ser detectados. Para una

Hemos oído que algunos feligreses se han preguntado
"¿Qué le paso al Café?" El Café todavía eta aquí, por
desgracia entre la predicción del mal tiempo y la
programación en torno a otros eventos de recaudación
de fondos, no se ha podido programar nuestro Café.

Ministerio de Adultos Jóvenes de San Andrés
El Ministerio de Adultos Jóvenes (en Inglés) sigue con
su estudio de la Biblia cada miércoles a las 7:30 p.m. en
el Centro Pastoral. Hablamos y reflexionamos sobre las
lecturas para este domingo próximo y tenemos una cena
de potluck después. Por favor entre a través de la puerta

Devoción Mensual a la Divina Misericordia
Por favor únase a nosotros cada primer sábado (después
de cada primer misa del mes), para la devoción mensual a
la Divina Misericordia en la Capilla de la Iglesia a las 6:30
a.m., seguida por la Misa de 8:15am. Tambien tendremos
la Divina Misericordia cada Jueves a las 6:30pm en la
Capilla del Centro Pastoral.
A Farewell to Fr. Michael Barrett!
St. Andrew would like to invite the community to join us for a farewell Mass on
Sunday, April 10th at 12:30pm, followed by a reception in the Piazza at 1:30pm.
Fr. Michael is leaving to New York as the first Opus Dei Pastor in that Archdiocese.
Fr. Paul will include a special Thank You to Fr. Michael in next week’s bulletin.
