Good evening, this is Mr. Renderos, principal of Anna Borba with a couple of reminders and
announcements. First, as you may have heard, our report cards have changed. So we will be having our
4th Parent Orientation on the new report cards. The meeting will be this coming Tuesday September
20th. The English session will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the Spanish session will start at 6:30 p.m. These
orientations have been scheduled in case you missed the other three orientations. Our first progress
reports will be coming out during the first week in October.
On another note, please remember to talk to any other relatives/friends who may come to pick up your
son/daughter, and remind them to follow the traffic rules/laws. The picking up or dropping off students
on Riverside drive is very dangerous, and it can cause a major accident. Please be aware that the Chino
PD may cite drivers for picking up/dropping off students on Riverside drive.
I want to thank you for supporting our first fundraiser of the school year. As of today, we have raised
over $3500 for our school. That’s a great support, and I’d like to thank you. Though it’s not enough for
student field trips for all grade levels, the proceeds will go to other student activities during the school
year.
Finally, a lot of different parent workshops are being offered across the street at the Adult School.
There’s a new Parent Engagement Center, and they provide specific workshops for free. Child care is
provided, and the content is very beneficial. For more information, you may visit our website at

Buenas noches, este es el Sr. Renderos, director de Anna Borba con unos recordatorios y anuncios.
Primero, quizá ya ha oído, nuestras tarjetas de calificaciones han cambiado. Entonces tendremos
nuestra cuarta orientación sobre las tarjetas nuevas. La junta será este martes 20 de septiembre. La
sesión en ingles será a las 5:30 p.m., y la sesión de español será a las 6:30 p.m. Estas orientaciones se
han programado en caso que no ha podido venir en las últimas tres ocasiones. Nuestros reportes de
progreso saldrán durante la primera semana de octubre.
Pasando a otro tema, por favor recuerde de hablar con familiares/amigos que vengan a recoger/dejar a
su hijo/a, y recuérdeles de seguir las leyes de tráfico. El dejar/recoger estudiantes sobre la calle de
Riverside es muy peligroso, y puede causar un accidente grande. Quiero que sepa que el departamento
de policía de Chino puede dar multas a conductores que recojan/dejen a estudiantes sobre la calle de
Riverside.
Quiero darles las gracias por apoyar nuestra primera recaudación de fondos del año. Ya para este día,
hemos recaudado más de $3500 para nuestra escuela. Eso es un gran apoyo, y quiero darles las gracias.
Aunque no es suficiente para que cada nivel de grado pueda ir a un paseo, los fondos se usarán para
actividades estudiantiles durante el año escolar.
Finalmente, se están ofreciendo muchos talleres diferentes para padres en la escuela de adultos. Existe
un centro nuevo para padres, y ellos proveen talleres gratis. También proveen cuidado de niños durante
