T he Pastor’s Corner
My dear Parishioners,
Before this week ends we will have entered the season of
Lent, a time of special preparation for the celebration of the
great Paschal Mystery commemorating the Passion, Death
and Resurrection of our Lord. As in previous years, our parish provides you with a number of aids for your Lenten journey: an opportunity to join a small weekly Lenten Longings
group to reflect with fellow parishioners on the Scriptures;
a pocket-size booklet of daily reflections entitled “Not By
Bread Alone”; weekly Stations of the Cross at 3 pm
(English) and 7 pm (Espanol) on Fridays; a Communal
Lenten Penance Service midway through the journey, and
your own CRS Rice Bowl and Lenten Calendar to remind
you to share with those less fortunate than yourself.
